Lá Fhéile Pháidraig! Hope you are having a wonderful day and went to some parades. If not, and you hate Irish people, I hope you've had a good day too haha.
I went to a parade in my local area this morning. It was a bit cold but it wasn't raining which was great. Then I went home and watched the Ireland v. England rugby match (which we won, 😉). That was an amazing match but got so tense after the first half an hour! Me and my brother Patrick we're roaring at screen at one point lol.
Another thing we talked about was stereotypes about Irish people. Like one thing I don't understand, is the whole corned beef thing. I don't know many people who eat it and it isn't that much of a thing here, at least in my area. I've also been asked by an American person when I was in the European Commision whether we have pizza here? That was funny. I also think that people expect us to be ginger, freckly and green eyed. To be fair, there are a few red heads here but there's more I'm Scotland than in Ireland. And I have green eyes, but most people here would have blue, and then light brown eyes. We also never, ever say "top of the mornin'". But every county has stereotypes and I'm just glad that Irish culture is out there haha.
Anyways, I haven't really been writing/publishing stuff cause I've had a hell of a busy year. And to be completely honest I just wasn't feeling motivated enough. I'm sure a lot of you will know how that feels, especially those who post amazing stories. I have some new ideas and will get back into things slowly over the next few weeks so, keep an eye out! I'm surprised some of you have stuck with me this long considering I wasn't even posting actual stories before.
Enjoy the rest of your day (it's about ten past six here in Ireland at the moment I'm writing this) and I'll see you guys later. 😊
