That night I emailed my police sergeant to tell him that I was resigning from the job, after emailing him I contacted from old boss from the LAPD hoping that I would be able to get my old job back I knew there was a chance that it wouldn't happen but I had to hope. A few days later I woke up early as soon as I did I reached down to the side of my bed grabbing my laptop before sitting up and opening it before checking my emails, which I did every morning in the hope of receiving the email. As I looked at my emails I smiled I had a response which was that he had offered me a job at the same police district at my sister Chloe.

I believed that my police record helped as it was remarkable, I had arrested more criminals and solved more cases in my first year of being a detective than one else in any department in LA, I also was promoted to a detective within 6 months of graduating the academy which I hoped that my father saw even though he was no longer with us. After reading the email I quickly booked a flight for tomorrow to LA one way, because I needed time to pack up my things and contact my landlord to tell him that I was leaving.

Afterwards I got up from my bed, getting changed, brushing my teeth before getting my belongings out of draws, cupboards and wardrobes putting it all on my bed before going on a search for some boxes that I had when I first moved in so I pack everything up, as i started to pack everything up I began to feel sad because even though it sad memories that were making me leave there were happy ones too. Once I packed all the boxes I began to tape them up before moving them into my small living room before looking around at everything empty.

Seeing all the memories flash before my eyes which made me smile the day then went on further it felt like it flashed before my eyes rather quick and before I knew it i was waking up and it was the next day i got up early before the moving van arrived I was taking hand luggage on the plane with me. As the van left I headed back inside finishing to pack my suitcase sitting on it to get it to close.

I heard a pip outside my apartment as I was packing the rest of my belongings into a backpack and carry bag, so I hurriedly gathered everything before stepping out the door and closed it behind me. Before running down the stairs to meet my Taxi waiting for me outside. I ran as quickly as I could with my bag to the taxi that was waiting outside. The cab driver came out and assisted me with my suitcase. "Thank you," I said as I smiled at him.

"Heathrow airport?" he asked as he lifted my suitcase into the boot of the taxi before I went into the rear and the driver into the front. "Yes," I said as the driver asked as he stared at me. "OK then," the driver said as he started the car and drove away. I was relieved to be leaving London and returning to Los Angeles, as it had been a long time since I had seen my sister and niece. Because I didn't know how long I'd be in LA, I asked a friend to look after the apartment while I was gone. We arrived at the airport after a while; my flight wasn't for another four and a half hours, but I preferred to be early. "Here we are," the driver said with a smile before I handed him the taxi fare. "Keep the change," I said smiling back, before grabbing my hand luggage from beside me and exiting the taxi and heading to the boot.

"Here you go," the driver said as she grabbed my suitcase from the boot and set it beside me. "Have fun, child," he said as he looked at me and tapped my arm. "Thank you," I said as I gathered my belongings and entered the airport, inspecting my luggage before passing through customs.

Before I headed to one of the shops and grabbed some lunch and some snack for the flight before I headed over to a bench my hands full with food as I sat down and grabbed my phone out my pocket and texted Chloe "Hey Chloe, I'm heading to LA" I texted Chloe I didn't expect to get a reply because she was working but I got a reply a few minutes after "how come?" Chloe replied "I miss my family that's all" I said trying to cover up how I was feeling and lying about the reason why I was coming home because I didn't want her to worry about my issues. "Really?" Chloe asked over text.

I hear the train stop and I put my phone back pockets  and grab my case and head onto the train. I think I'm gonna miss it but I want to find somewhere I belong and I think this is it. Right I was on seat 57 and I was sat next to an old lady which wasn't so bad when the plain took off I got a text from cal then the old lady spoke .

"Running away from something" she said which shocked me and I turned round to face her "how did you know" I said still looking at her shocked "I can sense it Hi I'm Lizzy" she said as she placed her hand out and I said "Caitlin" I said smiling before shaking her hand.

We spoke through some of the journey but Lizzy "fell to sleep I was watching a movie on my phone as I drifted to sleep I had about 5 hours then I woke up starving I grabbed a the sandwich from my bag and began to eat it then I looked at the messages from cal I had to delete him from my life.
I'm so sorry please forgive me
Cal

I went straight on his contact and deleted him and I went through the pictures and deleted them one by one it was so hard and it was like deleting memories but I had to. "I'm sorry did I wake you" I said looking at her shocked it's fine I'm bloody starving anyway" she said as she began to sit up and I giggled.

I had one sandwich left I offered it her I'm guessing she was going to buy some food on here as she looked at the menus I'm guessing she didn't want any after all. "Do you want a sandwich" I said placing the sandwich near her "do you mind" she said before I smiled and spoke "no it's fine I'm full now anyway and it would go to waste" I said before.

She kindly took the sandwich away from me "so what's for you in LA" she said as she ate the sandwich there was a few moments of silence before I spoke "a Job as an police officer and my sister and her daughter what about you" I said smiling at her "my daughter and her children" she said lookout at me happily After an hour I finally fell to sleep I had barley slept the night before.
