It has really been a while that Katherine and Elijah had seen each other. The last time was, in the Mikaelson mansion in Mystic Falls, the time that Elijah dumped his beloved Katerina, to go to New Orleans. To help his brother Klaus. Also he didn't knew that Katherine was dying and that she became human again, thanks to Elena Gilbert. A lot had happened those months that they hadn't seen each other. Elijah thought he fell in love with Hayley, but lately Hayley grew towards Klaus, since she became a hybrid when she gave birth to Hope Mikaelson. A strange thing had happened also, since Kol was back, and even though Katherine went to hell, she came back too. Back as vampire again, no human. So the Petrova doppelgänger was really happy about that. What her first thoughts were, time to have revenge on Elena and her friends, after what they have done to her and her daughter Nadia who's still dead. At first, the brunette wanted to go after Stefan, and win him. But to be honest, the one she only truly loved was and is still Elijah. Katherine went to her old house, and saw that everything was still the same, as she left it before. A slightly grin appeared onto her face when something came up in her head. But out of sudden her phone started buzzing, and she grabs it and saw a text message of Elijah. "Dear, Katerina. I would love to see you again. Can we meet up somewhere? Love, Elijah." A smile appeared, and then she text, Elijah back.
*5 minutes later*
Katherine and Elijah both arrived at the same time, on the place of destiny. With vampire speed, Elijah stood before the Petrova, and Katherine tilted her head to a side. “That had been a while Elijah. How have you been?” Katherine asked, while she was looking at him, with her chocolate brown eyes. “I’m doing fine, thank you for asking, how about you?” A laugh escaped from her mouth, well, should she tell him what had happened. Oh well, why not. “I just came back from the death. I became a human because of the cure, and then I was as traveler inside Elena’s body and later got stabbed by Stefan and died.” Elijah couldn’t believe what he just had heard. This isn’t possible is it?. Or maybe it is, besides would his Katerina lie to him. “You got to be kidding me?” Elijah said, as he saw how Katherine shook her head, that she wasn’t lying to him. A soft sigh escaped from her mouth. On the other hand, she never thought she would be that happy, to see Elijah again. After he ditched/ dumped her. And choose Klaus instead of his own girlfriend. “Also, I don’t know if I can trust you again Elijah, after what you’ve done to me.” Elijah actually saw that one already coming. “I’ll try everything, so you’ll trust me again. You have my word.” Katherine start thinking, because Elijah is an honorable man. “Okay, I’ll see what you are going to do. Show me that I can trust you again.” He nodded in agreement, and the wind was blowing through Katherine’s hair. “I will see what I can do Katerina.” That sounded like music in her ears Elijah trying to do everything to win back the trust of the girl he loved for centuries.
Elijah had been staring at the doppelgänger because he just thought how beautiful Katherine was looking today. And then out of sudden, the original vampire pushed her against a wall in a alley and start kissing her. This was really unexpected but Katherine just kissed him back, as she wrapped her arms around his neck while continuing kissing the guy she loves. After a few minutes the let go of each other to catch breath. “This was really unexpected Elijah, but I loved it.” The girl saw a smile appearing on Elijah his face and she laughed.
“I love you.” She blurred out, shit she didn’t wanted to say that out loud but she’s too late, since she already said it. “I love you too Katerina.” Was the answer of the original, and then a smile appeared on Katherine’s face. Why would she wait to forgive this sexy vampire, but she’s not going to back down, because she really don’t know if you would run back to Klaus, as soon as he need your help. First she had to be certain. “How long do you stay?” Katherine eventually asked to Elijah, and he was looking at her, and stroking her cheek gently. “As long as you want me here.” That was really good to hear that, so they can living together, the question is which house. She doesn’t want to live in the house, where Klaus used to live, and can come back any time he want to. “How about you move in with me, in my house?” That was a good question to ask, well that’s what she thought. “That’s an amazing idea.” This was something she did expected him to say to her.
*Some hours later*
They arrived at Katherine’s house after picking up some stuff of Elijah in the Mikaelson mansion. The girl walked inside of her house when she walked to the living room to pour in two glasses of bourbon and gave one to Elijah. “I really hope we can do this, being together and staying together, meaning trusting each other and be there for each other, and no secrets. “ The brunette rolled her eyes as he mentioned the secret part, he knows her way too well, which can be seriously annoying. “Don’t worry, I am not going to ruin this chance. I want to be with you. You are the love of my life Elijah. I don’t want to lose you.” That was the only thing Elijah wanted to hear from the doppelgänger. Although he knows how Katerina is, with her behavior and other things.
Winning someone trust is hard and someone really need to fight hard for it again. Katherine knows that Elijah is an honorable man and keeps his word. That’s the thing Katherine likes about him, he did things she didn’t wanted to, believed Elena more than her. Choose Klaus above her and other things. But on the other hand, the doppelgänger wasn’t nice or sweet either, she has done horrible things too. No wonder that Elijah trusted Elena more. “Katerina I have the feeling you are hiding something from me, is that true?” Elijah said, and a frown appeared on the brunette her face, and she shook her head. “No, I am not hiding anything from you.”
Why would she hide something for you, yes she didn’t really mentioned that she had finally met her daughter, that Klaus hadn’t slaughtered her entire family. Maybe that’s because her father took her daughter away from Katherine by birth.
*Months later*
It had been months and Katherine and Elijah were incredibly happy with each other. But something had happened in the meantime. Katherine had been feeling sick for weeks lately and Elijah wasn’t around he had some business to take care of. And since Katherine didn’t really had much friends around here, she didn’t know who to call or text. So she just decided herself to buy a pregnancy test, you never know. Although it’s impossible that a vampire can be pregnant. Once she bought one and did the test, she waited till the result came. Minutes past by when she saw what the test said. Positive meaning she’s pregnant. Then she heard the front door and went downstairs and saw Elijah there. “Katerina what’s wrong?” Katherine swallowed and said. “I’m pregnant.” Elijah widened his eyes and couldn’t believe his ears, what he just had heard.
