I love unicorns and rainbows.
I know that people show disdain for "girly girls" as many put it,but what's the shame in that?
Call me an "overthinker" and "complicated" because I take the time to contemplate that this planet is at a perfect distance from the sun that we receive sunlight immaculately.
Because I figured that earth would just be 'eh' without art.
Because I am grateful for the life-giving air that I breathe although we have it in so much abundance most end up taking it for granted anyway.
Yes, I appreciate the small things.
Cliché, right? Because every "sensitive" and "overly emotional" girl says that.
But I still refuse to feel embarrased of my nature because it's the little things that matter.
The goosebumps I get when the cool breeze brushes against my skin,
The peace I acquire from a warm drizzle,
The aroma of soil after a rainy day,
The way unicorns cheerfully dance in the sky at the sight of a vibrant, colourful rainbow
And the beauty of the sun when it sets.
The crooked and imperfect yet trancing grin he pulls when he's overjoyed.
Deep 2am conversations that stimulate so much of my intellect and emotion my heart starts playing tricks
And crying on my mom's shoulder until i stain her shirt with my tears.
Falling inlove with the grace of a dove
And the feeling of damp soil sliding between my fingers.
Only a foolish man would not appreciate the privilege he has to feel, love and adorn what he witnesses with his eyes, because appreciation for the simple and little things in life is the deepest expression of gratitude......
