Luminous's is expression was a mixture of shock and pride. What snapped him out of his trance, is a small cracking noise.
He stood still, not knowing what to do. Only last minute did he decide to jump and take cover.
The girl breathed in and out slowly, signaling that she was still alive. Luminous stared blankly at the girl on the floor, her (H/L) hair sprawled out on the floor.

He jumped back a bit when she slowly started to rise. Her eyes half lidded, she stared at Luminous, confused.
"Auhea wau...?" She looked around before locking her eyes with his again.
Luminous stared for a minute, attempting to process what she said, before speaking.
"I'm sorry, I don't understand." He said, sorry mixed with confusion in his tone.
She fell silent for a moment, before her eyes filled with realization, and she cleared her throat,
"I'm sorry, friend, that's my main language." Her accent rang through his ears like a symphony.
