Cooper: Hey Charlotte!
Char: . . . .
Cooper: Char-
Char: What is it?
Cooper: Watcha doin'?
Char: Watching the fish.
A small green fish swam over to the glass to greet the two small wolves. The light from inside the aquarium shone and played on their faces.
Cooper: . . You always do that! Come on! Let's go play on the beach!
He bent down into a playful position.
Char: Not now Cooper.
Cooper: Pleeease?
Char: I said no. Now GO!
She spoke coldly. Cooper curled into a defenseless ball.
Cooper: I'm sorry. . .
Char: . . .
Cooper: uhm. . I'll just go now . . .
Char: Cooper we're moving.
She said quickly and painlessly.
Cooper: What?! But this is our home! What do you mean we're moving?
Char: Dad sold the Aquarium to Jenny's mom. Mama can't teach her classes if no one shows up here to take them. She can't teach, they can't learn, we can't make money, . . . we can't afford to live here anymore.
Cooper: But where will we go?
Char: Dad's taking us over to Aunt Wendy's to stay with her until he can find us a new home.
Cooper: All the way in Mount Shiveer?!
Char: Yes, up there. Go get your things packed Cooper, we're leaving in the morning.
Cooper whimpered and slowly stepped up the stairs to his small room. He was only six, Charlotte was fourteen, and her little sister Sammy and was only three. They lived in the Aquarium with their dad and their mom for five years, first moving in when Cooper was only three. Now their mom's class was making barely any money and they had to leave Crystal Sands, their only home.

Jenny: Mount Shiveer!? Why, that's all the way across Jamma! Why so far?
Char: I dunno, guess Aunt Wendy likes it cold.
Jenny: Well that dumb. Why have white snow when you can have white sand instead?
An Arctic Wolf interrupted the conversation asking for a strawberry swirl smoothie. Jenny roles her eyes and took out the order. Charlotte was used to this, she was much shorter than the average wolf her age. Some could confuse her for a fox! She was also confused as being a small seven year old quite often as well, being treated like a child was normal for her. The Arctic Wolf left with its drink flicking it's tail in her face.
Jenny: Sorry, where were we?
Char: Huh? Oh . . I'm moving and stay with my Aunt for awhile.
Jenny: Right, right. So when can I see you again?
Char: Summer.
Jenny: Summer! It's dead in winter right now!
Char: Well you could always come over but Aunt Wendy will talk you to death.
Jenny: Right, her. The one that owns that Hot Cocoa tent?
Char: Hut. But yeah, her. Pfft. This is so stupid! I don't even like hot cocoa. .

The next morning was full of goodbyes. Cooper and Sammy went around saying goodbye to every grain of sand on the beach while the adults talked and Jenny and Chevrolet said their own farewells.
Jenny: See you in the Summer Char!
Char: Yeah . . .
Jenny: Oh, c'mon! It could be fun! Maybe you'll meet a boy for once.
Char: No. Not ever. Absolutely-
Jenny: Okay! Okay! Just joking with ya Char! But really, get a life.
Char: Says the seal who does nothing but sell smoothies all day.
Jenny: Hey, it's a quality!
The two joked around until it was time to leave. Never in Charlotte's entire life had she seen Crystal Sands as beautiful as it did once she left.
