Natsu walked to the table the blonde was sitting at. The previous day, they had decided to eat lunch together and learn more about each other. He sat down in between a red-haired girl and a tall-ish guy that wasn't wearing a shirt. He ignored this and looked at the girl. She was talking to that weird short girl. The girl took notice of him and gave him a light smile. "Hi! Thanks for showing up!" She said. "No problem." Natsu smiled back. She spoke again. "Okay, my name is Lucy Heartfilia, and I like to read." She said. She clapped her hands together, getting the attention of everyone at the table. "Everyone! This guy in new, so I figured that we should introduce him to the School. Everyone say your name and one thing you enjoy." Lucy pointed to the bluenette. "My name is Levy Mcgarden, and I like reading manga, watching anime, and my older brothers Jet and Droy." She said. She looked at the shirtless dude and he spoke. "Hi. My name is Gray Fullbuster. I like to ice skate." I sniggered. He looked at me. "I don't like you, but after what you did to Gajeel, I respect you." He said. The red-head elbowed him, then she glared at me. "I am Erza Scarlet, and I will not tolerate such behavior at this school. It is my job as student council vice-president."Her gaze softened a little. "I like cake." She said softly. The last person at the table spoke. She was a petite white-haired girl. "Hi! I'm Lisanna! I like animals and my older siblings Elfman and Mira." She said. She intrigued me. I stood up. "My name is Natsu Dragneel. I like the beach, my adopted younger brother, and my adopted father." I said. I sat back down. "Well Natsu, welcome to the crew." Lucy said happily.
Natsu waited in front of the school. Lucy had told him to because she and everyone else still wanted to learn more about Natsu. As Natsu sat down, he saw everyone he met at lunch walk up to him. They all sat on benches as well. Lucy sat on Natsu's bench along with Gray. "Hey Natsu, I....I..."Lucy squirmed in her seat. Gray sighed. "What she's trying to say is that we didn't call you out here to get to know you." Natsu jumped up and closed his fists. Gray smirked. "That's exactly why we called you out here. You hit fast and powerful, just what we need. We want you to be part of our boxing club, Fairy Tail." He continued. Natsu relaxed a bit. "Maybe. Can you show me what it's about?" He said. Lucy perked up. "Sure! We can show you around tomorrow morning before school starts. Would that be okay with you?" She said hopefully. Natsu shrugged. "It's fine with me. 7:30?" He asked. Lucy smiled. "You got it!" She said with a thumbs-up.
Natsu sighed as he lied down on his bed. Macao ambushed him with questions when he walked through the door. He didn't know how to respond to some of the weird ones, so he just shrugged half the time and ran upstairs when it was over. He smiled. He had already made new sort-of-friends, and he was in a club as well. He hoped that this would lead to new friendships and hopefully, a career.
Natsu walked to the bus stop like he did yesterday. Today however, things were different. The whispering was still there, but out of awe and shock rather than scorn and rudeness. "Did you hear that that guy got into Fairy Tail?!" One guy said. "No way! They only take in the most skilled boxers!" Another said. "It's true. I saw him get accepted with my own eyes. I hear they're going to initiate him today!" A third person said. These types of conversations regarding Natsu and various members of Fairy Tail went on. Natsu smiled. He liked all this conversation about him. It was certainly better than yesterday's talks.
The bus finally arrived at MHS. Natsu was confused, as he saw an unusually large group of people gathering around the main doors. "I thought most kids stayed in the cafeteria during the morning." He thought suspiciously. As he walked towards the doors, people moved out of his way and followed him down the hall. He saw Mirajane lecturing another student on running through the halls. He went in her direction hoping to clear some things up. "Hey, Mira!" He called. The white-haired girl turned around. "Yes?" She asked sweetly. "Do you know why everyone's crowding around me and heading towards the gym?" The pink-Watch yourself buddy! Sorry. SALMON- haired boy asked. "You're joining Fairy Tail right?" She asked. "Yeah, so what?" Our protagonist answered. "Well, they're here to see you silly!" Mira said with glee. Natsu gave Mira a confused look. "To be initiated into Fairy Tail, you have to spar one of the members." She explained. "Oh, okay...Wait, WHAT!?" Natsu yelled. Mirajane simply smiled and ran off. Natsu sighed for the umpeteenth time that week. With all of the students following him, he walked to the gym.
As he opened the double doors, students in the audience cheered. "Pretty big deal ...huh." Natsu murmured to himself. "Yup!" A bright voice said cheerfully. "WAH!!!" Natsu fell on to the floor, only to find Mira looking down at him. He stood up with a groan. "When did you gat here?" He said. "Just now. And to answer your question, yes, the boxing team is a big deal. It's one of the only sports we offer here at MHS, and they say it was made, with the approval of the current principal at the time, the second principal of this school." She said cheerfully. "Now you go get 'em!" Mirajane said excitedly as she pushed him into the gym. The crown cheered as he walked onto the mats and put down his backpack. "I should really get some boxing shorts." He thought to himself. He took off his hoodie, but not his shirt, much to the disappointment of the females in the crowd as well as some of the males. He walked onto the mats bare-foot as he looked at his opponent. It was a tall, muscular, blonde guy with a scar running down his eye. He had the name "Laxus" printed on his shorts as well as an emblem.

Wearing a referee's uniform, Levy stepped out into the ring. "Three, two, one, Fight!" She declared before stepping out of the ring. Laxus and Natsu circled each other before Laxus struck with a big right hook. Natsu swiftly leaped out of the way before throwing a right jab to Laxus' face. It hit swiftly, then Natsu stepped back. Laxus threw a series of jobs and crosses before Natsu ducked and delivered a swift uppercut to Laxus' chin. Laxus stumbled back, then growled. He started moving his feet before throwing an overhand, then an uppercut. This confused Natsu. He was hit by the uppercut. It spun Natsu around so he was slumping an the ropes. Laxus charged, then threw a rabbit punch. Natsu went out cold. (This is actually a real punch. My uncle used to box, so I know this kind of stuff. A rabbit punch is when you punch the back of someone's neck or the bottom of their skull. This is an illegal move because in can cause unconsciousness, severing of nerves (Paralysis) and sometimes even death)
