Chapter 5

LENA'S POV

This week has honestly gone by fast. After healing real people I feel like I've matured more. The person I healed was Nora a 75-year-old lady who was attacked and robbed late at night in her home. It scared me being able to see what had happened to her in my mind but I also got to see the good in her life. When she had woken up she told me one thing that I have now made my life motto. "There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle".

That was one of the best experiences I've had in life. I never imagined my life turning around so quickly. One day I'm a regular high school senior. The next I am royalty of the vampire dimension. What a twist.

I have been busy with school, work, and now training. Donny has decided to train one of us every week to focus on each of our weaknesses and strengths. Since this week had finished, now he is gonna start to train Evelyn. He told me if I ever feel like training by myself to just come to the dimension and train in the castle when he trains the others.

It is now Saturday and I decided to sleep in since I am really tired. Evelyn starts training tomorrow so she went out early today to hang out with her friends for the whole day.

I wake up finally, it's 11:00 in the morning which is kinda late but I know I needed to rest. I get up from my comfy bed and head to my bathroom to shower. After my shower I choose a cute outfit since later I will go out with Jackson for our date, which is very exciting.

Over this whole week, I would talk to Jackson 24/7.

I finished doing my makeup and head downstairs to make myself a quick lunch since it was now midday.

As I was eating my sandwich I heard a knock on the door and wondered who It could be. I didn't invite anyone over? Did Evelyn forget something and came back home to get it? No, she would have just opened the door with her key. Zac and Luke are at work, who could it be?

I open the door and it was Jackson. I was surprised to see him early.

"Hey Jackson, what are you doing here so early?", I ask giving him a small smile.

"Uhh...I couldn't wait to see you so I came early", he looks at me and smiles. I start to blush and turn away as I invite him inside.

"Wow you have a beautiful house", he says looking around the house.

"Have you eaten anything yet?, I can make you a sandwich", I say smiling at him.

"Sure", he says.

I start to take out things to make his sandwich, he is lucky because for me I never make anyone food.

"So do you and your sister live alone?", he asks while watching me make his sandwich.

"Umm....no we live with our parents but, they are barely home since they are always away on business trips all the time", I say looking at him with a sad expression. Even though I know the truth now. I don't want to scare him off and saying 'oh and by the way I'm the next queen for a vampire dimension'.

"I can relate, my parents got me my own place since they always have business trips as well, so it's rare that I see them", he pauses looking down." it's hard to live alone sometimes when you're by yourself you get used to it so you never want to be with anyone", he says.

I look at him I can see the sadness in his eyes.
"But now you have Mason?", I say.

"Yeah he's my best friend, so now he lives with me and it's a whole lot better now", he says a big smile on his face.
