People have different perspectives, opinions, and personalities. Thus, we value things differently. Some may value things due to the memories it holds or some may value things due to its worth.
Most of the population values love as something worth it or something amazing; an indescribable feeling that brings people together.
Addison was never keen to believing in love. After some events that altered her perspective on love completely, it seemed as if she lost trust and faith in it.
So, when her best friend develops a crush on the most popular bad boy in their school and decides to pursue it, Addison is adamant in stopping it.
In a school that focuses the most on popularity, of course the chances of a social climber seeking interest in the most popular is inevitable. Wren Collins, Addison's best friend, has been seeking attention this whole time, and she saw this as a chance.
Especially when a rumor circulates the student body about the said popular bad boy, Addison's determined to prove that he doesn't deserve the attention he gets.
When their teacher pairs them up for the whole year however, her perspective of him changes. She no longer sees him as a bad influence on her best friend.
It seems like her perspective on love is slowly shifting as well...

Hi guys! I'm Art3mis and I'm part of the Phantom Dragons. And this is my first ever book on this account.
I've written books before, but I stopped for a really long while. Whilst writing this, I kept reading it again and again and changing it. I felt like the content wasn't good.
And I don't know if that's true or if it's just my standards getting higher and higher. In a community like this, you often see writers who are better than you. Writers who have more followers. And I think that's what's making me not have confidence in my writing unlike before.
I see my friends, all these amazing authors. And I feel like I want to be as good as them. Like my writing isn't enough. I compare my writing to theirs and see that theirs is better. And it makes me feel insecure and disappointed.
I think authors shouldn't feel this way. There's something unique about everyone. Every author has a unique way of writing. Every character has a unique personality and every book has a unique story.
You should never compare your book to someone else's. Yes, you may have a rough first start, but everyone goes through that. No one ever starts something new and immediately becomes good at it.
Practice makes perfect and even though it may seem like your story or you aren't good enough, never compare yourselves to others. And never give up. Every lock has a key and every problem has a solution.
I see my friends become insecure about their works. And I have to say, what they do is great. I love their art; their books, but they sometimes don't feel that way.
I'm not saying that you shouldn't criticize people. Because believe it or not, criticism actually helps. It lets us know what readers like and what they don't. It helps us improve. Just don't give dishonest criticism or criticism that doesn't even have a valid point or make any sense.
I'm sorry if the book doesn't turn out good. This is kind of my.... reboot? rebound? I dunno but this is what's gonna get me back into writing and hopefully, getting better. I hope you guys like it and remember to
