The jumper

Chapter 1

I stretch my arms out wide and let out a yawn. I don’t want to be up. I stand up and walk across the hall to my bathroom. I grab my brush and run it through my hair. I pick up my eyeliner and out it on thick and dark. I walk back to my room and put on a pair of white skinny jeans and a crop top that has fuck you in big red letters on the front. I go into the living room and put on my red converses that go all the way up to my knees. I walk to the fridge and grab an energy drink, and my keys off the counter right next to the fridge.  I turn to go out the door when I remember I left my phone in my pj pants pocket. I run to my room grab it and shove it in my back pocket. Finally I’m ready to go. I walk out my door and to my black 2014 mustang. I hop in the drives seat and put my key in the ignition

“Good morning maim. Where would you like to go today?” the car asks.

“To Xenon’s please, Seth” I tell the car.

“Good choice. We will be there in 17.5 minutes. Would you like some music?” The car replies.

“I got it Seth.”

I pull my mp3 player out of the cup holder and plug it in. I search and finally decide to just put it on shuffle. The first song is we are young by fun. The car begins to drive to xenon’s house.

While Seth drives I sing. “We are young, so let’s set this world on fire. It’s gonna burn brighter then the sun.”

My voice cracks at the end, so I open my energy drink and take a big gulp. The song changes to black veil brides, then some pop songs. Soon enough I’m at xenon’s house.

The car pulls into the drive way and stops. “We are here maim.”

“Thank you Seth.” I turn the car off.

I get out and see xenon is waiting at the door. I start to walk up to the door, when suddenly he is standing right next to me holding my hand.

“I hate when you do that.” I say once we are in the door.

“Sorry I went to walk to you but I just jumped.” He smiles.

“You know I can’t stay angry at you when you smile.” I smile back.

“Do you want to go somewhere?” he asks knowing I hate jumping.

He won’t win this time tho. “Sure I could go for some Chinese food.”

Xenon takes my hand and we jump to a market in china. I hold my stomach for a second. Jumping always leaves my queasy. Xenon walks up to a noodle stand to order my food. They speak in Chinese so I have no idea what they are saying. Xenon actually knows 27 languages, has been to all but one country in the world, and never stays put for more than a few months.

Xenon walks up and sets down my food. “Lunch is served.”

“Stop it!” I snap.

“stop what?’ he asks.

“Stop trying to read my mind. I can feel it.” He looks alarmed

“It’s not me…I think me should go.”

He takes my hand just as Mr. White comes running toward us. We transport to Egypt then back home.

“That guy needs to learn how to stay the fuck out of my life!!” xenon fumes.

I put my hand on his shoulder and force him to calm down.

“Thank you. It would of taken me ages to actually calm down.”

“Ha. At least you like my powers.” I say.

“I don’t like them...I love them.” he leans down and kisses me on my forehead.

I stare at him saying “hey what was that I want a real kiss” with my eyes. He pulls me close and kisses me on my lips, hard.

“That better?” he smiles and laughs.
