"Yasmine Green!" The announcer said as my sister, aunt, two of my cousins, and Nahmir and the crowd cheered and clapped.
I smiled and walked up to the stage as my heels clicked on the floor. I grabbed my high school diploma and looked at Nahmir smiling. He winked at me afterwards.
An hour later
"Baby I'm so proud of you." Nahmir said grabbing me and kissing me.
"We gotta do something later.." He said.
"Like what?" I said raising an eyebrow.
"Something I've been waiting to do for a long time." He grabbed my arms.
"Uh ok.." I shrugged.
"It's a surprise."
Later we got into the car to go to a restaurant with my sister, my aunt, and my cousins and of course Nahmir. Too bad my mom or my dad wasn't there to see me graduate.
I placed my seatbelt on and looked out the window reminiscing the times I had with my mom when I was younger. I missed her a lot and now graduating high school without her cheering for me got to me.
"You Igh?" Nahmir said placing his hand on my thigh.
"Yea I'm ok.." I sighed fighting the tears away.
"Yasmine you must think I'm stupid, I know whenever you're lying to me.. Or when you're sad..you can talk to me later about it if u want igh?"
"Okay." I said.
I love Nahmir 😍😩 he just understands me to well.
10 minutes pass by
"Hello welcome to the Cheesecake Factory! Today I'll be your waitress! What can I start you guys off with?" The waitress said.
"I'll get some lemonade." My cousins said in unison.
"I'll get some sprite." I said.
"I'll get the same." Nahmir said.
"And for me..I'll get some water." My sister said.
"Lemme get some red wine." My aunty said after.
"Okay! I'll be back with your drinks shortly." The waitress walked off and I looked through the menu.
