I wake up to hearing a little baby crying from next to me.
I find myself on Phil's bed, and a play pin with blankets and stuffed animals all over.
Next to the pin was a Phil, holding Iris.
His hair is a mess, from what I can see, no shirt, and a red pair if pajama pants.
I getting off the bed, walking towards Phil and Ri.
"You didn't have to get up, you know?" I say, leaning my head on his shoulder.
"Nor did you. I've been up here for a while. Also, I'm sure you've dealt with sleepless night since you've been pregnant with her." Phil explains.
"Where have you been sleeping?" I ask. He didn't look like he was sleeping comfortably. As is he's been tossing and turning.
"On the couch." He answers.
"You can sleep on the bed. Even if it has me on it." I whisper, seeing as Iris has fallen asleep. He nods, placing her back in the pin.
"Where is Lilly?" I ask him as he lies down. "She wanted to go with Dan." He answers.
We talked a bit after we laid down.
"Do you have a place to stay?" He asks.
"Well, I don't have a job, only two hundred dollars, and two kids." I say. "I, sadly, don't. But I'm going to get out of y'all's hair soon and find a place." I say.
"You don't have to find a job, Skylar. And you are a single mother of two. You need someone with you." He replies.
"Stay here. Dan and I would love you three to be here." He says.
"Are you sure?" I ask. He nods. "The kids can take the junk room, and if you want, you can share with me." He says.
I smile. "Thank you, Phil. You are an angel." I say, cuddling close to him.
He starts stroking my hair again, making me fall asleep.
"Goodnight, Phil." I say, slowly dozing off.
"Goodnight, Skylar." He says, pulling me closer to him.I wake up, and Phil's arms are still wrapped about me. I scoot closer, if possible.
But, I have a child.
I was about to get up, but Phil stopped me.
"Dan has the girls downstairs. He's cooking breakfast for us and Lilly, and feeding Iris the weird packets that were in the little cooler thing." He says, putting his face in the crook of my neck.
"What are those packets?" He asks. "Do you actually want to know?" I ask him. He nods.
Well, for good baby development, if you feed your baby breast milk-" I start. "Oh." Phil says. I laugh a bit.
"WAKE UP MOMMA WE GOTTA EAT!" Dan yells, running in with a laughing Iris and Lilly on his sides.
I chuckle and sit up, a wild Phil still clinging to me.
Dan wiggles his eyebrows. I shake my head.
I jump out of bed and get Iris from Dan.
"Babies!" I say, grabbing both girls and kissing their cheeks. They giggle, making me kiss all over their faces.
The boys silently laugh at us, taking in our mother daughter(s) moment.
"Come on, you guys! You guys have to eat!" Dan says, dragging us down the stairs.
During our breakfast, we talk about plans of me and the kids moving in and what not."Bye, guys!" Dan calls out. He's going out to do whatever he planned, while me and Phil stay home and get everything me and the girls need.
"To the junk room!" Phil exclaims, grabbing Iris off, I guess, our bed and run to the junk room. I pick up Lilly, kissing her cheek. "Momma, I wanna talk to you later." She whispers in my ear. After many hours of getting things situated, we have a space for two little dressers, a crib, a bed, and other extra child stuff.
Now we just have to go to Damian's house to get the rest of our stuff."Wow, are you here to crawl back to your baby daddy?" Alex asks, snotty as usual.
"Oh, please. He doesn't deserve me. I'm here to get the rest of my shit and never come here again." I say, about to walk you the stairs.
"Are you going to leave the car?" She asks. I laugh.
"That car is mine, under my name. But I will be leaving this key." I say, placing the key on the counter.
I quickly walk up the stairs and pack EVERYTHING of mine and my daughter's."Baby, please don't leave! I messed up!" Damian says, trying to keep me from leaving.
"I'm not your baby. And I hope you know that your stupid apology isn't going to work, sir." I say, pushing him away.
He gets closer to me, cornering me.
"Dude, back off. I don't need you." I say, attempting to push him away.
He wouldn't move. His body just kept getting closer.
"Back off!" I yell, going to punch him. He catches it, and punches me. He's a weakling, but I guess it still hurt, just not physically.
"She said back off!" I hear someone from the doorway say. I sigh in relief, knowing exactly who it was.
"Also, punching a women wasn't the best move, eh?" He asks, moving Damian off of me and against the wall.
"I hope you know that you can't see your kids anymore. They don't deserve to live with an abusive asshole like you." I say, grabbing Phil's hand and walking out of the house.
