Requested by Natare2Walt had always been a good friend of yours. You were his pencil to his brush. His Minnie, and he was your Mickey.
"(Y/N)! Good morning!"
Walt said cheerily, giving you a wave.
"Morning Walt."
You mumbled, not as bright.
Walt was concerned, taking your hand and placing a palm on your forehead. His own forehead creased with concern.
"Are you ill? You seem down."
You waved him off, turning toward the drawing board full of characters. You had helped create them from the ground up. But it was over now.
"I'm being moved. Effective immediately."
You tossed him a packet of papers, which he caught with a puzzled look.
"Are you joking?"
As he read through, his face became more and more crestfallen.
"So, that's it then."
"Yes."
You gave him a hug, and went on your way.

Now you worked for the new company, Fox. You thought It was not even as close as good as Walt. But you were getting paid. And that was all.
Walt was bankrupt when he came to see you. His characters, his legacy, gone. Now all he had was you. And that was okay.
Was it?
