"Well, this is a compromising situation...." playboy trails off before shaking his head, his dark hair lightly brushing against my skin, and his lips stuck in a grin. He pauses, gives me a look over, and I shake my head in disgust. I immediately push him off me, except, I don't, since he seems to be 10 times my size. I let out a huff of frustration and look to the side.

"Okay pretty boy, you can get off me now." I say with slight aggitation.

"I'm pretty? Good to know you've taken a liking to me already." He says with a cocky smirk plastered on his face.

I roll my eyes, let out a sigh of annoyance, and cross my arms as he has both of his on either side of me. "Would you stop being so full of yourself and get your fat ass off of me? I'd like to leave without any broken ribs from your weight."

He scoffs and fakes a look of hurt "O-M-G, I can't believe you just said that to my face Juliana! Friendship over!" He lets out in a high pitched, dumb-blonde voice.

I give him a pointed look before sliding out somehow from beneath him. "We were never friends Melissa, those jeans do make you look big by the way." I say with a smirk and the same voice as him.

He chuckles and shakes his head after he gets up too. He pauses a little before holding out his hand for a handshake, "Truce?"

"Truce," I answer back, my small hand becoming enveloped in his. A smile touches his face and he seems to want to say something before taking it back. I question it at first but then just ignore it and walk back over to my table that somehow still has the coffee cup in tact. I grab it and then turn back around and see he's still there, nervously looking down at his shoes. "Welp, its been great partner but, seems I have to adventure off on my own now," I say with small smile. I start to walk up to the dirty dish bin they have placed for customers before I hear him speak again.

"Wait! I, uh, mean, hold on. We can't just leave each other without knowing one anothers names. Its unpoetic," he says with a slight look of hope in his eyes.

I snort, quite unattractively may I add,"I didn't take you as one to read poems, let alone be a poet. Sorry, but, I like being tragically unpoetic and realistic so looks like I'll just be a another nameless face for you."

"Oh come on! Can we not even be meer acquaintances?" This time his face contorted into a desperate, pleading look. I shrug my shoulders and sigh in response before letting out a reluctant "I guess..."

"Really?? Yes!" He says while making a celebratory fist pump. I roll my eyes at his guyish-ness and cross my arms over my chest.

"So?" I say, clearing my throat to get his attention.

"Oh, uh, it's Austin Barnum...partner," he says with a smirk and wink.

I shake my head in amusement, "Mines Alice Lorenz, with a 'z'. See you never," I say with a small smile before turning around on my heel and going to the bin of dirty dishes. I never once look back and walk out the door with a sense of mischief about me.

The drive to my apartment was uneventful, the pitter patter of the rain against the windows giving me a sense of calm as I drove. I thought of nothing but the feeling of serenity that blanketed me. I reached my apartment complex around ten p.m. with my walk being light yet also slow and blissful. Once in my apartment I toss my keys onto my coffee table and stroll into my room before collapsing on my bed. Closing my eyes for just a moment, at least I had meant for it to be a moment, sleep takes over me and I cuddle up with my blanket.
