residing over a glass of barely-sipped wine and a cigarette releasing gray fumes in the other, jennie couldn't stop herself from reminiscing about him.
he was addicting. he was so charming, so wonderful, everything. and yet, he slipped right out of her fingertips, away to a woman who managed to take his heart. maybe he didn't love her in the first place.
all those empty words, empty gestures, empty actions.
the tears threatened to start trickling down her eyes, waging war on her sanity that she was trying to keep together at this noisy club. the screaming, dashing lights and the continuous bass only made jennie feel more isolated and definitely more lonely.
jennie sighed. the tears had won, now rolling down her cheeks steadily. everything felt so frustrating. what did she not do? was she never good enough? what did she not say, do, or wear?
and so, amidst the teetering, drunk people dancing and chatting, she was one left all alone with nothing to stop about and everything in the world to cry about.
