Jinx X Kid flash- carnival fun pt. 1

The birds are chirping while they perch on tree branches that are gently waving in the cool breeze. A warm sunlight shone across the land, and everything was peaceful- well, at least that was how it was supposed to go, but of course life isn't perfect.

"Ugh. This really is just my luck" jinx says as she looks on to the incoming storm, some light rain already showering down on them. She had come to the carnival with kid flash, to make up for the failed attempt at fun last time they were here. Just thinking about it brought back some bad memories.

"You sure you didn't do anything to cause this?" Kid flash says to try to poke fun at jinx, and she just rolls her eyes.

"If it really was me, then the cloud would be much smaller, and the rain wouldn't be so light, and I also wouldn't be getting soaked." She retorted using facts as they walk together under a big oak tree to get some decent shelter. "Can't you just run somewhere real quick and get an umbrella or something?" She shivers and takes out the metallic bands holding her hair up in its upright horseshoe shape, since it was starting to droop anyways, and for once let her hair down. By the time she looked back up, there was already a umbrella over her head, and she smiled, thankful for once for kid flash's speed.

A few hours later, the storm cloud that was producing the rain finally passed, and a weak sunlight was shining down, kid flash closed the umbrella and quickly returned to wherever he got it from. It was around 4 in the afternoon now, since they came earlier in the morning, and most everyone had left the carnival because of the rain.

"Hey look! It's that game with the bottles!" Kid flash suddenly exclaimed and pulled jinx over with him. It really was that stand from last time, where there were 6 bottles stacked on top of each other in a pyramid shape on top of a flimsy, three legged round table. "I won't mess up this time" he says as he starts the game, picking up the baseball and chucking it at the bottles, managing to only knock off the one right in the middle of the row of three.

Jinx started to laugh quite hard, both at the bottles and the look on kid flash's face. "Hey, that takes some sort of skill" kid flash said nonchalantly as jinx picks up a different baseball.
"This is how you do it." She said, then throws the baseball right at one of the legs of the table, knocking it over, and knocking all the bottles off the table. Both kid flash and the owner of the stand giver her a weird look. "What? You said knock the bottles off, you didn't say I can't knock over the table as well." She explained, and the owner of the stand shrugged, unable to argue, and allows jinx to pick a prize.

A few minuets later, jinx and kid flash were sitting on a bench in the carnival, eating cotton candy, and in between them was a black stuffed cat with pink eyes that was almost the size of jinx herself. "This is the most fun I've had in quite a while" she says, taking another piece of cotton candy and melting it in her mouth.

"Don't jinx it." Kid flash said, then snickered a bit after realizing what he said, while jinx just looked unamused, and they continued just sitting there, eating cotton candy and making small talk, until they heard a familiar voice.

"Are you sure he's here? I vouldn't vant to have to valk in such a childish place for nothing."
Hearing that accent, jinx, holding onto the stuffed cat, and kid flash hide behind the nearest solid object, which, unfortunately for the two, happens to be a porta potty, as Madame rouge walks into view, talking to someone on the phone, and holding one of those level 4 containment devices in her other hand, which instantly gives off what she's here for.

The two, and the stuffed cat, stay silent behind the malodorous porta potty until Madame rouge passed them by, still searching for her target while talking into the cell phone. When she was out of sight for sure, jinx and kid flash got out from behind the porta potty with slightly concerned looks on their faces.

"What now?"
