my whole body was shaking, i thought it was an earthquake but then i opened my eyes and saw my mom standing over me shaking me.
"sweetie wake up, come on get up!" yelled at me, sounding paranoid.
"mom im fine, stop." i assured her. my room looked empty, everything was gone and put in the truck. i felt a hole insude me. i will miss this place, leaving friends and family behind was hard. i wasn't the friendly type, so me having friends here was a big deal...and now i am leaving them. Ivy Griffin the most beutiful goth girl i could ever meet was my only girl best friend. she stood at least 5 foot 8 inches, she was tan even though she hated going in the sun or tanning. whaite as snow hairthat went to the middle of her back, the weird thing is it was natural. Ivy's eyes were the most beautiful green. the lighter green her eyes were the more happy she was, and the darker the green was when she was mad. i more sad about losing her, she was a cutter and i helped her push through the tough times. and got her to stop. Then there was Zavon Hall, the most popular guy at my school...well old school now. somehow he always found time to spend some time with Ivy and I. Zavon was 6' 2'' and was very tan from spending so much time playing sports and being on the varsity team, team captain that is. he had dark brown hair that almost looked black at times. i was always in a mess and always in his eyes. his eyes aren't that interesting, a brown, and like his hair looked black sometimes.
"hey!" my mom snapped her pretty little manicured fingers at me.
"sorry, what?" snapped out of my memories and back to reality.
"we need to leave, the truck is packed and and its getting late. i dont want to be driving to long."
she was right it was getting late, i could see the sun setting and the light shades pink and purple in the sky. the sunset was beautiful and mesmerising, once again i was reliving memories with my friends.
the waves were crashing against the rocks and the sound of it with the birds was amazing. tonight was a clear night no cloud in sight. the sky was turning red and pink, sunset. everyone here said it wasn't safe to be out at night, i couldn't stay away, i loved the night. the water gave a reflection of the sky.
"you know what the say right?" Ivy asked.
"its not safe to be out here" Zavon replyed.
"no. red skies at night, sailors delight, red skies in the moring sailors set warning" Ivy said in a sing song voice.
the water was strangly calm, and it looked like there were a million stars out tonigh. the sun was going down fast. in the distance you could see people starting a bon fire and people having a fun time. music was streaming over here and it soothed me.
"ivy, you up for some fun?" i asked her, still staring at the fire that grew bigger and bigger. Ivy looked in the direction my eyes traveled to.
"what is your crazy mind got planed?" she gave me a sly smile. I got up and brushed the sand off. it was a warn night so i wore denim short shorts and a black tank top. Ivy had ripped black skinny jeans and a purple v-neck shirt on, while Zavon had on his usual jeans and a white shirt. i started to walk over with my little crew following me. The people were very welcoming, gave us drinks and danced. that night i got a little drunk, and a little stoned. that night i felt amazing and never wanted it to end.
"damnit Luna snap out of it!" mom yelled once again. that was really getting on my neves.
"ok, ok. im sorry. lets go." we walked silently to the U-haul truck. i got in and slammed the door, shoving my headphones in my ears, silencing the world and listening to people i actually liked. the drive felt like it was never going to end, feilds, towns and scenery past by in a blur, my eyes felt heavy, i leaned my head back and fell asleep. my subcouncious brought me back to the shadow at the apartment and wondered what it wanted.
