Reincarnated As A Supposed Mob Character in a Fantasy Otome Game

Prologue

Hotaru's P.O.V

"Ugh... What happened...?"

I opened my eyes groggily and felt a cold surface under my body. I slowly stood back up and observe my surroundings.

There's nothing, absolutely nothing. It's just darkness. I can neither see nor hear anything at all.

Ok... Think back to what happen earlier. I was walking home from school. The light was still green, so I crossed the road. There was a bright light and I got hit by an unstable truck...

"So... It seems I have died..." I mumbled to myself, realising my situation at hand.

Am I in limbo right now?

"Well, not exactly, my child" I turned my head to the voice and saw a short bearded old man in a white robe. Somehow, there was a spotlight shining above me.

"Uhhh...... Who are you?"

"Oh. I'm God" He answered almost immediately.

"Are you here to send me either to Heaven or Hell?" I asked him with a slightly confused expression.

"No, there's not what I'm here for. I'm here to give you a second chance in life. Someone as young as you shouldn't die so soon, especially when your death was caused by a reckless driver." He caresses his beard as he said those words.

"Seriously???" I guess it would've been nice to live a little longer. I didn't even get to say goodbye to my family. I should be a little thankful that I'm given a second chance.

"Yes, seriously. I decided to let you be reborn in a world you might know about." Oh, now I'm curious. What did he mean by that?

"It's from a game created in your world. I believe it's called '~My Magical World~'?"

I know that game. It was a very popular otome game. It was about the heroine, Grace Purestone, who possesses the ability to use light magic and was accepted to Valeris Academy of Magic, the most prestigious school for teaching mages how to harness their magic properly. The game had beautiful graphics, there were some great action scenes as well. The romance was actually not that bad too. All in all, it was a great otome game. I really enjoyed playing it.

Wait... I'm going to be reborn in that world?!?!?

"W-wait a minute! What is my role in that world?!" God looked back at me with a grin on his face.

"You'll be a mob character. Just a normal human, living at a normal village." I let out a sigh of relief. At least I'm not the heroine or anyone important. I really don't want to interfere with the storyline. Though, I'm a bit bummed out that I'll just be a normal human. It would've been fun to use magic.

"However..." I looked back at him. What more does he have to say?

"As you progress, you will be able to use magic." That's what God said.

"Why would you do that, even though I'm supposed to be a human?" Don't do any unnecessary things, God. Just don't do it.

"Let's just say... I love a good plot twist." I felt my eye twitch.

"Are you kidding me?"

"I'm afraid not. Well, time for you to be reincarnated."

He snapped his fingers and the light above him flew around my body, trapping me in a ball of light. I shielded my eyes with my arms from the intense glow as I started to levitate from the ground.

"HANG ON, GOD!!!!! I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU YET!!!! PUT ME BACK DOWN!!!!"

"Don't worry about it, child. We'll chat again very soon." He informed.

And just like that, the ball of light bursted and I was already off to my next life.
