Daisy's POV--
The swirling wind twirled ahead of me and my packmates, Cody and Bailey pressed up beside of me, shivering. "Are we going to die?" Angel whined, her large brown eyes wide and fearful, her small body barely standing in the harsh wind. I stood up shakily. "Let's get into that log over there!" I howled.
"Are you sure, Daisy?" Cody barked, his oddly preportioned body hunkered low to the ground as he struggled to not be blown away by the tornado, a swirling vortex of death. Bailey stood up shakily and ran over to the log bravely, her short curled tail streaming out behind her as she leaped into the log, her bulging eyes staring back at her packmates. "Come on, guys! Its safe in here,"
Angel took in a deep breath. "Here goes nothing.." She murmured, leaping forward, her tiny paws pattering on the forest floor, her curly ears blowing into her face and blocking her view, causing her to run right into the log. She fell on the ground and hit her head on a rock, knocking her out, leaving her body to go limp as the tornado swept her up.
"No! Angel!" Bear howled, terrified, his huge, fluffy body now agitated and his claws digging into the dirt. I whined, shifting my brown paws. She was most likely dead. I sighed through my nose heavily and started running again, to the log. Finally reaching it, I squeezed into it, pressing myself against Bailey. Bugs crawled across our fur, but we didn't care. In here, we were free from the wind. Bailey whined sadly, resting her head on her paws as she shivered. A few moments later, Cody leapt in after us, complaining about not being able to fit. "Try telling that to Bear!" I howled sadly. "I doubt he'll fit.."
Bear ran, his heavy paws rattling the earth underneath him as he tumbled blindly to the log, squeezing his head through and whining as his shoulders got stuck. And then, the log started moving, and tumbling down a hill. Feeling dizzy, we all huddled together to keep each other from falling out.
And then, for a few moments, there was nothing underneath the log. Just pure air. We had rollen off a cliff, and then we splashed into freezing cold water, as the sloshing water filled the log we all struggled blindly to get out. All of the smaller dogs got out, just leaving me and Bear. I started to push him, shoving him out. He was then free, I could feel my head feeling like it was going to explode, my lungs on fire. I coughed, swimming blindly to try and find a way out. Bear popped free, and shoved his head forward, grabbing me by my scruff and swimming upwards.
Eventually, we all ended up on a beach shore, coughing and spluttering up blood and water.
