Night's Betrayal

Prologue

Night looked away as her claws pierced her brother's throat. As soon as he went limp, she clambered off, racing away in the direction of the abandoned twoleg nest, where she had told the other cats to go. She heard rustling, and fear pricked her pelt as she propelled herself through the forest, kicking up dirt behind her, a black blur darting through the forest. Suddenly there was a dark grey shape in the corner of her vision, and the figure crashed into her, sending them both tumbling into trees and through bushes, sticks and stones raking through their fur. 

Night let out a screech, lashing out at the tom's belly and slicing a clean gash into the soft flesh. He hissed, jumping away and leaving her to crash into a tree. She stayed down, slightly dazed as the grey tom advanced on her, not seeming no notice the blood soaking his belly fur. 

"Explain this!" He snarled, the fur along his spine bristling. Night trembled, weakly scrambling to her feet and staring into the cold eyes of her father. 

"I-I had to Sully!" (N/A: Believed named him XD) Night shrunk back as she saw the anger in his eyes. He tackled her, wordlessly slashing at her throat. She barely dodged, ducking. His claws sliced through the tip of her right ear and she hissed, wriggling away and whipping around, dropping into a crouch. She was the only cat in her rogue group that could match the Sully with fighting.

They fought for a while, but Night was tiring. Just then, the cats she had saved burst through the bushes, tackling Sully of her. She gasped, rolling onto her side. Sully was driven off, and she got shakily to her paws.

"Come, quick." Panted a deep orange one, limping quickly in the direction of the nest. Night followed, wincing. Soon they arrived, and she could hear the small, cute sound of kits squeaking. The sound warmed her heart, and she smiled. This was her new home.
