'Oh my god why do I need to learn this? Like, come on I won't even use this' I think to myself 'When was the last time I used algebra in real life?'
I flick the little wadded up piece of paper off my desk I watch it as it flies up and hits a girl in the back of the head. She turns around and glares at me " Real mature Karra real mature", she scoffs and turns back around in her seat.
'What did I ever do to her? All I did was flick a paper'
I face the board again and try to focus when out of the corner of my eye I see some guy staring straight at me.I try to look away but I can't. I notice a mischievous grin forming on his mouth. I tare my eyes away from him but can feel his eyes on the back of my neck.
The bell rings and I gather my things quickly to avoid the people in the halls shoving me. I soon as I reach the door I feel a hand grab my arm. I yelp in shock but calm down a bit when I turn and the man standing behind me releases.
"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you I just wanted to meet you" he smiles a kinda shy smile.
"Well now you've met me," I say as I start to walk away heading into the already full hall.
"Wait!" I hear him say over the horde of students pushing past me. I stop and turn around he's already standing next to me "You don't even know my name"
I stare at him and wait "Well?" I say kind of annoyed
"Well what?" he asks seriously
"Are you going to tell me your name or what?"
"Oh right, my name's Luccas but you can call me Luke." he says it with a bright smile holding out his hand " And the reason I wanted to meet you is that I want to be apart of the school paper"
I sigh and shake his hand "I'm Karra and I do need another writer but only because Baliey left. So you got lucky so you can join we meet before school, during lunch, after school, and sometimes during free class periods. "
He shakes his head up and down and smiles, "Okay".
I give him a forced smile and nod. The halls have mostly cleared and I have to walk quickly to get to my next class.

"Why am I so awkward around her", I say tossing my head back and groaning.
"Because you like her obviously", Missy rolls her eyes, "come on kid just admit it. admit that you like her."
"I don't tho I really don't", I blush as I say it trying to keep a straight face knowing that she wasn't fooled by my act.
"I can tell your lying Tommy I can see it in your eyes" she laughs and stares me dead in the eyes keeping a straight face.
I roll my eyes again and stand up,"I'm getting some food do you want anything?" I ask Missy turning around to see what she'll say.
"Nah I'm good bro", she pauses and thinks, "actually get me an espresso I'm feeling poetic and earthy like a hippie", she smiles and laughs a bit as I roll my eyes and walk to the espresso machine to get her espresso and my peanuts that are in a basket right next to it.
I go to grab my peanuts when I notice a note slightly under the basket. I pick it up and set down the espresso to open it, but I immediately regret it. 'Someone's watching you and you aren't safe... I hope you heed my words carefully your not safe around him, not if you keep hitting on her trust me he won't be happy with me if he finds this so show no one, burn this paper and watch your back.' I read it carefully twice then wad it up and put it in my pocket slightly disturbed but needing to think.
