hEart

~Chapter 1~

Earth. Earth. Earth. That's all we ever seem to learn about. We talk about how the plants we have here grow on earth (which is the exact same way). How the animals live and survive on earth (which is also the same here). How humans LIVE on earth (which is the exact same here too!!). Earth, Earth, Earth. Oh, sweet Earth, why do people like you so much?? 

"Nlillia" a familiar voice calls. Edan. I whip my head up.

"Hm?" 

"Look."

I obey and see something new. A student.

"Attention everyone, we have a new student. Please welcome Ilev," the teacher announces. The person who enters....is not who I expected. I expected someone who was pretty shy, or at least grumpy. Who would want to come to hEart anyways? Ilev was surveying the class, looking at everyone, like everyone. I think I saw a couple of girls faint when he looked at them. He had very striking eyes and I couldn't stop staring at them. Ilev then glanced over to me and look right back at me, but I was too lost in thought. Look at those blue gorgeous eyes, they're changing color as he moves....whoaa. Now they're green. Oh, was that a wave? I can't tell. Oh wow now they're purple....

"Nlillia," Edan bumps me with his elbow.

"What?" I respond in a hushed voice.

"The other girls are giving you mean looks, I think you stared at him too long."

"Ah. To be clear, I was staring at his eyes, not him."

"Yeah, yeah, but that doesn't change the fact that you looked lovey dovey looking at his 'eyes'."

"Crap...."

"Ilev, you can sit in that open seat right next to Nlillia," the teacher says. When Ilev quietly takes his seat, I sneak a peek at his entire face. Oh damn, no wonder the girls were jealous. He's pretty hot... wait, what am I saying?? Pfft those girls can have him if they want.

"Okay class, only one thing you must know if you are to live on this planet. What is it Nlillia?" the teacher asks.

"Every name of any person and this planet is spelled exactly as it is on Earth, but the last letter is moved to the front of the word," I respond.

"Precisely. And you are to all remember that. I know you're new here Ilev, but you should keep that in mind."

I glance over to Ilev to see him nod and his shaggy hair covering his beautiful eyes. Damn you, I only  wanted to see your eyes. You should go bald so I can see them easier....
