Athena's POV:
I was driving home after a long day at the office. Excuse me, I should probably introduce myself a little. My name is Athena Hastings. I'm twenty-six years old and I'm a millionaire. You might think, you're twenty-six and a millionaire? Impossible. Well, its not. I'm proof. How I got a millionaire? The answer is my company. Six years ago I started it as a small company. Right now it earns millions. I'm very proud to call myself the owner of Sky Achitectures. As I was saying I was driving home. Office was busy and boring so I just wanted to be home. After driving for a while I drove my white Land Rover over the drive way and parked it in the garage. In the garage was another car. The car of my best friend Summer Pace with whom I shared a majestic house. She must've finished work earlier than I did. I took my phone and bag and got out of the car. I walked through the door and entered the kitchen. Immediately the smell of mac and cheese hit my nose.
"Summer, I'm home!" I yell, not sure where she is.
"You don't have to yell I'm right here." She responds.
I turn around. There she is. Dark brown hair, braided and placed over her shoulder. Dark brown eyes with a bit of green and blue in them. Dressed in a dark blue business suit.
"You making dinner?" I ask even though I already know the answer.
She just nods and turns back to the food.
"How was work?" She asks.
"Boring." Is my response.
"That's a word I don't hear often out of your mouth when you talk about work."
By that she means I made my hobby of sketching and designing buildings into my job.
"Yeah, but today was all about finances."
"Well that's what happens when you're a boss." She laughs.
"Very funny. What's for dinner?"
"Mac and cheese."
"Sweet!" I respond.
"Can you set the table while I finish the last things?"
"Sure."
I put away my bag and keys and my phone goes in my pocket. I walk to a cabinet and take out two plates. I also grab two glasses and two forks.
"What do you want to drink?" I ask.
"Water."
I nod and fill both our glasses with water. She places the mac and cheese on the table. We sit across from each other and start to eat.
"How was work for you?" I ask after a short silence.
"The usual." She responds.
"The usual?"
"Yeah, you know sketching and working on big projects." She replied.
"That's way more interesting then finances and bills." I whined.
"That's what you get when you're a big boss" Summer said teasing, for the hundreth time.
I sighed.
"I know, I know."
She chuckles. I finish my mac and cheese and stand up.
"Where are you going?" Summer asks raising her eyebrow.
"My study." I respond.
"Oh no, you aren't." She says.
"Why not?" I ask annoyed.
"Because it's your turn to clear the table." Summer says with an evil grin plasterd on her face.
"Ugh.......Fine..."
I shot her a glare and she disappears. Probably leaving for her own study. So unfair. I start to clean the table and put everything in the sink. I deside that while I'm at it i should probably do the diches as well. I get started and clean the plates and forks. When I'm finished with everything I check my phone.
1 missed call
Allia James
Ah Allia, my dear assistant. She makes my schedules and runs for my coffee each time and still comes to work with a smile. She is one of my closest friends after Summer. After I called her back I went for my own study. I walked upstairs and through the corridor. I entered my study and went to work. I sketched a new building, not for a project or anything, just for fun. In fact I just drew a city in general. The way I would build New York if I could rebuilt it. When I was finished I looked at the results. I smiled to myself and started to put the drawing into detail. After a while I heard a knock on the door. I looked up and Summer appeared in the doorway.
"Yes"
"What are you drawing?" She asks, book in her hands.
"Just my vision of New York. What are you reading?"
"Something about psychology." She smiles
I nod and return to my drawing. Summer walks behind me and looks over my shoulder.
"Its wonderful."
"Thanks, but as you can see it's far from done."
She doesn't say anything and just keeps looking. After a while she yawns and says:
"I'm going to bed."
I nod and turn around.
"Good night angel." I say.
"Good night my queen." Summer responds.
I kiss her and she leaves for her room.
