Love at first sight

The Meeting- Chapter 1

  Amanda woke up to her echoing alarm clock. She disgustedly groaned as she throws her alarm clock across  the room breaking it into pieces. That's her third alarm clock this week.
She sighed in disbelief. "Another day of my boring life" she dragged as she gets out of bed and heads to the bathroom. When she is done with her business, she dresses in her work attire. Which includes a tan blouse, a black pencil skirt that reaches under the knee, and black platforms. She pins her crimson red medium length hair into a bun and struts out the door.

Amanda is the CEO of her own successful business. Her best friend Bella is her trusted secretary. "Good morning bestie or boss" Bella greets with a giggle. Amanda chuckled at her comment. "She hasn't stopped saying that since the day I had hired her. " She thought. "Good morning Miss Bella, do I have anything planned for today?" Amanda replied with a smile.
"Don't know, let me check" Bella replied. After a few seconds she responded. "Ah yes, you do have a important meeting with someone"
Amanda was so busy that didn't ask who  she had a meeting with. So replied. "Okay,  call me at the meeting "
"Don't be late Miss Rose" Bella retorted playfully. Fifteen minutes later the speaker comes on in her office. It was Bella.  "Miss Rose it is time for your meeting" "Thank you Miss Bella I'll be there in 2 minutes"
Amanda responds.

Heading to the conference room she bumps into someone, coffee spills and stains his shirt . "Oh my stars! I'm so sorry sir, I wasn't watching where I was going. " She apologizes
embarrassed. "Don't worry sweetie it's fine no harm done. The man replies in a deep sexy husky voice. She looks to find a nice body, beautiful light brown eyes,  and a smile a girl would die for.
"Hello? Earth to pretty lady?" Are you okay?" She snapped back to reality,  dazed from just looking at the dream boat. "Oh yes, I'm fine. Are you?" she replied as dirty thoughts played tag in her head. "Oh yeah, no harm done" the  sexy man replied softly.

She looks down at her watch and sees that she is fifteen minutes late. "Shoot. "She mumbles.  He must have heard her cause he said, "Hey Miss is everything alright?" He spoke concerned. "Oh I'm fifteen to seventeen minutes late to a meeting. I must be going, it was nice meeting you Mr... " she trailed off, cause' of not knowing the gentleman's name. "My name is Adam Lockwood" he said. "Pleasure to meet you Mr Lockwood, my name is Amanda Rose" she replied with a smile. "A beautiful name for a beautiful girl." Lockwood said with a wink. Which made Amanda blush from this cheesy comment. " I need to be going" she spoke flustered. "Good luck on the meeting Miss Rose" Adam responded as she walks away.

She finally makes it o the conference room. "Miss Rose your late" spoke Bella, as if she was if she was the boss here. "Excuse my tardiness Miss Bella,  I had ran into someone on the way." Amanda replied. "Alright, now shoo,  you have important business to take care of Miss Rose. " Bella responded as she closed the door behind her. Rose entered the conference room. "Hello, please excuse my tardiness. I had trouble getting here. " She turns and stops, stunned as it was  Lockwood. His soft smile turned into a sexy smirk. She wondered what he wants. "So tell me what is the matter of this meeting?" She said as she took her seat as he did the same. "Well, I'm  here because we are supposed to to get married. " He responded with that same smirk he had before.
