It was the right call. Right? Leaving. If they were to find me, God knows what they'd do. Not only to me, but to kyungsoo for helping me. It was a scary thought indeed.
I shook my head at the possiblities and stood from my bed. Making it with new sheets from the closet, I put the ones I use in the hamper. I was half way out the front door when I heard a voice.
"Chanyeol?" A groggy kyungsoo whined stepping out of his room. "What are you doing?"
I didn't have the hits to face him. I was never good at goodbyes. I completely suck, in fact.
"I-uh," I choked up. I was hoping this would be clean. He'd wake up, and I'd be gone, and he'd be safe.
"You're not leaving, are you?" His voice perked up, a lot less sleepy sounding.
"Nothing good ever comes with me around." I shook my head. Perhaps telling him would make him want me to leave? Perhaps I'm prolonging the inevitable.
"You've been here, what, three days? You've done nothing but help me out around the house and protect it from intruders. As far as I'm concerned, you've brought nothing but good." He groaned out, annoyed by my words.
"Kyungsoo," I turned looking him in the eye. "Obviously you're one of those people who don't watch the news. Nothing good ever comes with having me around. I'm leaving!" And I was gone.
I walked out before he could say another word. It was hard, but it had to be done. Kyungsoo, from what I've seen in the past three days, is kind and has so much to get from life. Me being there risked that.
When i reached the end of the street a car pulled up next to me. It was something I've only seen in movies when people flirt, and I wasn't in the mood. I glares at the car and walked on. Until it slowly followed me down the road, I froze turning to look at it. It pulled up at the curb right beside me and the window went down. I saw none other than jongdae.
"What are you doing out this late?" He raised a brow.
"What are you?" I retorted, peeking down at the person in the passenger seat.
"I asked first." He tilted his head and his expression showed seemingly annocence. I shook my head.
"I asked a more important question."
"I don't think that's accurate." Jongdae chuckled. "Where's kyungsoo? Home? Dose he know you're out here?"
"You still haven't answered my question." I shrugged, his chuckle dorpped and he flgave me a face. One of those 'really..?' Faces you'd see in memes.
"Your dodging all of mine." He stated, his friend leaned over and eyed me. The way his eyes widened slightly said it all. He watches the news. He knew who I was.
"It's better if I go, goodbye Jongdae. Goodbye jongdae's friend." I waved and walked on.
This was the best thing, right?
