The Purple Mist

Once upon a time, there was a forest which is always covered with purple mist. This mystery attracted many wanderers but none of them came back.

 

A man who’s drenched in that mystery went into the forest despite all the rumors he heard. The moment he entered, the mist circled around him like they’re telling him to go back. The man struggled in the mist until he heard a singing voice. He turned and found the music from a young lady’s mouth. The mist slowly uncovered the path to the young lady. The man got along with the young lady and sang with her. The young lady continued walking around, leading the man to the beautiful lake ahead of them. The man was shocked to see the lake and stopped singing. The moment he stopped singing with the young lady, he got hypnotized. The young lady led him into the lake, where a huge rock in the middle stands. The young lady turned into a siren and swam her way to the rock. Even though it’s a lake, it’s got sea water from underground and it’s pretty deep. The young lady continued to sing, making the man follow her voice to the middle of the lake. But unfortunately, the man never reached the middle and drowned his way down to the bottom of the lake along with the other people who got attracted to the hypnotizing voice of the young lady, or should I say Siren.

 

The secret of every Siren is… they sing to be able to find out who their true love is. If the Siren sings and the guy who heard her voice stopped singing, he will be hypnotized. The guy won’t be hypnotized unless he truly loves the girl. He won’t drown himself into the lake if he really loved the girl. But unfortunately, this siren still haven’t found her true love and so, she kept on making the guys drown to their own foolishness. Their foolishness is to be able to uncover the secret of the misty forest safely and tell the tale. Though, the young girl wasn’t lonely since she isn’t alone because every soul who drowned turned into mist.
