The Young Seed

I see a young girl
A young girl that I used to be.
Smiling and not giving a care in the world.
A girl, that was confident and happy.
But little did she know,
What her existence will cease to be.
Because life would soon sprout a seed,
That would fail to grow into a better me.

Now I see myself in the mirror.
A girl, that wasn't ready for a change.
A girl's reflection
That could cause so much pain.
The Young girl's happiness that once had shown,
Is now decimated, and she's all alone.
Because the seed that had been planted,
Was doomed to great sadness,
The seed in her had been lost
The seed in her had been abandoned

Someday I will be,
The Young girl who I once saw in me.
The one who I aspire to be,
Because I hope and truly believe,
That I shall return
To the old me.
