chapter 1-Meeting Augustus Waters

"Melissa!You have school today get up!!" my mum roared up the steep wooden staircase

"I have been awake for ages" i yelled back closing my eyes falling asleep again

"Ok sure you have" my mum spoke sarcastically

I had to get up i coudldnt be late for school again! i got up and i jumped in the shower when i got out i quickly got dressed and started to straighten my hair!

my phone bleeped to tell me that i had a text message.

Emily: are you ready? we have to be at school in 20 minutes you know?

Melissa:Im aware! ill meet you by the shop leave your's

Emily:Ok! see you then

that must have been the shortest conversation that me and Emily had ever had!

i walked swiftly to the shop as emily was standing there looking very angry as if she had been there for ages

"where have you been! we have like 10 minutes to get to school now! if im late i am blaming you!" Emily explained with her voice slightly raised!

"well walk then?!" i said quite quickly

we got to school 3 minutes before the bell to let us know that we had form tutor..

"we have a new boy in our form guys!" my teacher said sounding excited

"well.. where is he?" i said

"Augustus Waters everybody!" she again sounded excited.

he slowly walked into the class room..

i smiled at him. he half smiled back... he seemed shy he was a really good looking boy

we had 5 minutes left of form.. i dont see the point in form really you only go to get your mark but you get a mark in every lesson..

i had to tell emily about Augustus!!

*beep beep*

that was the school bell Augustus walked over to me

"can i ask for your name and can i follow your timetable just for like 3 days please"Augustus asked polietly

"Melissa and yes of course you can!" i said back but he ruined my chances of telling Emily about what i thought of him..

Augustus' POV

i felt so awkward walking into my new form class because the head teacher told me to find someone kind so i could follow thier timetable Melissa noticed me more than anyone else in the class she looked like a really kind girl and she is. i might of made a new friend my first one in this school.. maybe i would make friends with her friends and have quite alot of friends moving schools might of been a positive..
