a/n: there's still time to turn back.

You chewed on the back of your pen, playing with it as you gazed at your tutor. He was explaining how to solve some dumb math problem. Something about converting? The rest just went through one ear and out the other, his voice was deep and melodic. Leaning your cheek on your hand, you blinked flirtatiously without knowing.

"Now you solve one." He said softly, leaning back in his seat, and you were oblivious to his instructions. One of his eyebrows quirked up, wondering how dumb you had to be. "Y/n."

You sighed quietly, looking at the table. "Yeah?" You mumbled, taking the pen out from between your lips. You adjusted your position, sitting up straight.

"Show me." He gestured towards the math sheet, nodding his head. "Solve this problem." He tapped on the table, and you flinched. Gulping, you leaned over the desk and clicked the pen, sniffling softly as you solved the math equation. It was easy for you, the only reason you wanted him to tutor you still was because he was hot, and by now you were pretty sure that he knew that.

Once upon a time, you really did need his help. Granted, he wasn't at the top of his class, but he was the only tutor you could pay attention to. The other few were either snappy girls, or nerds that didn't know how to cover their mouths when they sneezed, it was disgusting. But Jungkook, he was great at sports, he had manners, he was kind and knew how to be patient. Plus, he needed the extra cash on the side that your parents were paying him.

Lately, your grades had been a flop. You went from 3rd in your entire class, to 24th, due to a break-up with Kim Taehyung, your ex-boyfriend. It wasn't that he cheated on you, or anything like that, it's just that things between the two of you had slowly drifted apart. Anyways, he called it off, he was too busy at college since he'd graduated the year prior. In all honesty, there wasn't anything to blame him for, it's just the way things were.

Although the whole ordeal had happened months ago, it was still heart-wrenching to think about the times shared with Taehyung. Back on topic, Jungkook had helped you climb your way up to 10th in your class, following behind him who had been at 8th. Even though the two of you were hardly friends at school, you found yourself thinking about him instead of your ex, and it was kind of good in a way.

"Good job." He tightened his jaw, clearing his throat as he scanned your work. He mumbled the problem to himself, going over your steps.

"Ah, why do you even need me to tutor you?" He leaned up, looking at you questioningly. The expression on his face was a mix of curiousness and sarcasm.

You furrowed your brow, looking at the paper. "I swear, I always forget. And it's like I'm only able to do the problems when the formula is fresh in my head." You lied as you pouted your lips, and it sounded pretty believable to be honest.
"Ah, I see." Jungkook rubbed his forehead, sighing softly. "Then how'd you get a 97% on the test?" He hid a smile as he raised his eyebrows, holding the math homework sheet.

"How.." You muttered, you hadn't told him or anything when the math teacher had handed out the scored tests. "You looked didn't you." You squinted your eyes, looking at him like he was guilty or something. Sweeping the hair out of your face and behind your ear, you snatched the homework sheet out from in between his fingers. "You weren't supposed to see till now."

Jungkook chuckled, shrugging. You glanced up at him, the way he smiled was so cute. "You're forgetting that I sit right behind you." He retorted smugly, his lips contorting into a sly smirk.
