BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!"Ughh," you groaned, clicking the snooze button again for the third time this morning.
You turned over and pulled the blanket back over you. Before the blanket could even reach your shoulders, they were pulled off of you. You looked down and saw your roommate, Ji-hye, with your blanket in her hands.
"Yah, get up," she said, "you're going to be late for work, since you stayed up so late." She threw a pillow at you, which hit you in the head. You glared at her as she walked out of your room.
You looked at your ceiling, It's their fault for keeping me up. You shook your head and got up to get ready for work.
You put on your black pair of scrubs and tennis shoes. You tied your hair up in high ponytail so it wouldn't get in your face. Before you left your room, you grabbed your phone and work ID.
You walked to the kitchen to get some breakfast. Ji-hye was already at the kitchen counter eating some toast and eggs. Next to her, was a plate with the same thing but with some apple slices on the side.
Ji-hye slid the plate towards you, which you gratefully took. You began to eat while checking the weather on your phone.
After you finished eating, you put your plate in the dishwasher and told Ji-hye you'll see her after work. You walked out the door and made your way to the elevators. Once inside, you clicked the floor 1 button and waited for the doors to close.
As you walked out of your apartment building, you made your way to the bus stop and sat down on the bench.
??? P.O.V.
"Eomukie and Odengie don't look to well," I said worryingly to my friend, as I pointed to the animal cage in my room.
"Maybe they're just tired hyung," he said patting my shoulder, trying to make me feel better.
"But Namjoon, they've been acting like this since we left our old dorm," I stated remembering how they wouldn't come out of the carrier bag.
He sighed and sat back against the side of my bed. "If you're really worried about them, maybe you should bring them to a vet or something." Namjoon suggested to me, looking up something on his phone.
I looked over at him and he handed me his phone, "This is the closest vet clinic I found."
I smiled at him, "Thanks Namjoon."
Back to Your POV
"I hope Junior gets better," You smiled, waving to your recent customer. You sighed, sitting back at your desk and putting the folder for the Labrador away.
"Wow, you got here early and you're actually doing work," a voice behind you said. You turned and saw your co-worker, Minwoo.
"What do you mean 'actually doing work' I was the one who covered for you when you couldn't do this appointment," You stated to him, raising an eyebrow. He smiled and looked down.
"You got me there (L/N)," Minwoo said running his hand through his black hair, "I'll make it up to you." You smiled as you picked up your next patient's folder.
"It's fine Minwoo-ah, you don't have to," you yawned, covering your mouth.
"Are you tired," Minwoo asked, "because I could take your next appointment for you." He took the folder out your hand and looked through it.
"You just take a break and worry about the other appointment," he said. You thanked him and continued to type patient information on your computer as he left for the appointment
"Excuse me miss," someone called out. You looked up to see a guy and an animal carrier bag. You nodded for him to continue. "My sugar gliders have been acting odd recently and was wondering if you could check up on them for me," he said.
"Of course, what's their names and yours?" You asked, while grabbing a new folder for them.
"Their names are Eomukie and Odengie and my name is Kim Seokjin," he said tapping his fingers against the desk.
"Okay please follow me to one of the clinic rooms and I'll have a look at them," you smiled directing him to where the room is.
——————After the Check-Up ——————
"They seem to be a little bit stressed, nothing to be worried about," you stated as you both walked back to your desk, "it could be because of a change."
"Ah, so it could be because I moved recently?" He asked you.
"Yes, just let them get use to it and they should be back to their old selves," you stated to him and placed the animal carrier on your desk.
"Thank you so much Dr. ..." Seokjin said, trailing off.
"Dr. (L/N)," you finished for him, "and if you need anything else don't hesitate to come back."
He smiled, "I will thanks again." He grabbed the carrier and walked to the front to pay for the check-up.
"Didn't I tell you to take a break?" Minwoo asked, while crossing his arms. You giggle to yourself as you put the new folder with the others.
———————— Time Skip ————————
"Come on (Y/N), I'll drive you home," Minwoo said shaking his keys in-front of your face. You shook your head at him.
"I'm fine, thanks though, I'll just stick to the bus," you told him and started to head to the bus stop. As you were walking away, you felt a hand grab your wrist. You turned around and looked at Minwoo with a bored expression.
"Come on its late," Minwoo insisted, starting to pull you towards his car but you pulled your hand out of his. He turned around.
"I'll walk on my own Minwoo-ah," You stated walking to his car. He smiled and ran to catch up with you.
Once both of you got in the car, he started it and drove off towards your apartment building. On the way there, he talked about how his day went and you did the same, including the story of your upstairs "neighbors."
"No wonder why you were so tired today," he laughed parking the car in front of your building.
You hit him over the head for laughing at you and got out. Minwoo rolled down the window and told you that you were off tomorrow, before he left. You waved as you saw his car leave, silently thanking him for helping you.
Once you entered the building, you saw a familiar face at the front desk. As if on cue, said person looked straight at you and made their way towards you. You smiled awkwardly as they had reached you.
"Good to see you again, Dr. (L/N)," Seokjin smiled, "I didn't know we lived in the same apartment building."
