TaeHyung《Weird》(Part 1)

Your pov

"Chim Chim, have you seen Tae around?" You tapped on Jimin's shoulder.

"I saw him in class and everywhere. Why?" Jimin presses the Strawberry Milk button on the vending machine.

"Nothing. Oh thanks." He hands you the carton of milk while buying another for himself.

"Usually after classes, Tae would be shouting and hooking his arm around me. But today, nothing is happening. I never see him around... Where is he?" You pondered.

"The guys are waiting, come on." Jimin said, sipping on the drink.

Both of you head towards the cafeteria to join the others. To your surprise, Taehyung is already there waiting.

"There you are! I was wondering where were you. I thought you got lost or something." You nudge Taehyung on the arm.

He plainly smiles and walks off to get food.

"Usually, he would get food for me and asks me to tag along."

Instead, Jin helped you get food. Although you're sitting next to Taehyung, he rarely speaks to you. It's like he changed into a different person in a day.

Third person's pov

The members have noticed how unusually quiet Taehyung is. He's is inactive today, not bothering you or teasing you at all. Even when he arrived at the cafeteria without you and Jimin, he just sat down and played with his phone.

*flashback*

"Where are they?" Jin asked Taehyung after seeing no one behind him.

"Coming later." Taehyung replied nonchalantly.

"Why weren't you with them?" RM butts in.

"Can't I?" Taehyung scrolls through his phone lazily.

"Hyung, is there something wrong? Why are you so...different?" Jungkook shifted closer to the older guy.

This time, Taehyung glared at the youngest. Jungkook flinched and move back to Jin quickly, tugging onto Jin's sleeve tightly like a baby. Seeing this, everyone decided to shut their mouths. Once in a while, they gaze at Taehyung, questioning themselves. When you arrive at the table, Taehyung didn't seem to care.

Taehyung is weird today.

"I think I know what happened." Suga whispered to the others except you.

The members raise their eyebrows, watching Suga munch on the burger happily. They were hoping Suga would tell them, but he did not. Suga wants the members to find out themselves.

"Just watch." Suga told them.

"Watch what?" Jhope looks around cluelessly.

*end of flashback*

After lunch, you stroll to class with Suga.

"Oppa, do you know what happened to Tae? He's acting weirdly today." You take this opportunity to ask.

"You'll see." He returns you a gummy smile, leaving you confused.

"What can't I see?" You mumbled sarcastically.

Lessons are boring like always. When the bell rings, you  were hoping to see Taehyung leaning against the wall waiting for you with a huge grin. But no, he's not there. Suga appears behind you and sighs.

"Let's go." Suga carries his bag on one shoulder.

It hurts to see Taehyung changed into a completely different person. However, it worries you to see him like that.

Soon, the other members joined you both, except one guy.

"Oh there he is!" Jhope points at a couple.

"Taehyung and Sohee?" RM drops his jaw.

"Really?" Jimin jumps behind RM to get a better view.

"No... It can't be... I thought..." Suga mutters.

You're looking at Taehyung smiling brightly with a girl. You feel a pang of jealousy in your heart. Somehow, he makes you feel this way. It's not like you like him or anything.

Or so you thought.

"Tae! Is this your new girlfriend?" Jhope runs over to him.

Taehyung spots you looking away. Your heart shatter into pieces, unable to fix them back. Your tears are trying to free itself but you wouldn't give permission.

"Why? Jealous?" Taehyung puts his arm around Sohee's shoulder, pulling her closer.

"Woah woah! Nice catch bro!" Jungkook bro fists Taehyung.

*ring ring*

It's your phone. You glance at the unknown caller ID and wondered who is it. Now, everyone has their attention on you.

You: Hello? Who is this?
???: Hey y/n! It's me, your best buddy!
You: Wait... Are you ChanYeol?
???: You remembered me!!
You: OMG! It has been a long time! How are you?
CY: Great. I'm coming back to Korea, can you come to the airport?
You: Of course! How can I miss out on seeing you?
CY: Lovely! See ya!
You: See you!

"Sorry guys, I have to leave first. Bye!" You wave them as you rush off to the airport.

"Seems like she found someone..." Suga hints the others.

Taehyung seems to be deep in thought, not knowing Sohee had been calling his name multiple times.

"Huh?" Taehyung finally wake up, shaking his thoughts away.

"Can we get some desserts?" Sohee begged.

"Oh um... yeah." Taehyung agrees hesitantly, letting his mind wander off once again.

"Is she in a relationship?"  He worries for quite some time.

Since then, you have been hanging out with ChanYeol after classes and during lunch break. Both of you have been missing out on a lot when he moved to California years ago. It's a miracle that you both still remember each other. You enjoy spending time with him and the BTS members are jealous about it. You are spending fewer time with them now.

What about Taehyung?

He's resisting very well, controlling his facial expressions expertly. Deep inside, he's burning with fury, his heart raging in fire. But, he couldn't let that show. He has a "girlfriend" and he must continue to act like he doesn't care.

Genius Suga?

Well, Suga is thinking of a way to solve this issue. He knows Taehyung loves you and you love Taehyung. You with a guy and Taehyung with a girl. It took the others quite some time to notice the situation.

Taehyung's pov

"Okay, we'll meet at your apartment at 6." ChanYeol said.

You nod as you make your way to the next class.

"At 6? What are they going to do together? Is it a date?" I panic.

I knew I messed up.
