Nathan (Klance AU) (VLD)

Notes-Please read: This story is about Lance, Keith and their kids, Kathy, Liam, and Nathan. Lance is a stay at home Dad half of the time, the other half he is a Marine biologist. Keith is a teacher that works at Kathy and Liam's school. Kathy is 13, Liam is 9 and Nathan/Nate is a deaf 2-year-old.

It will probably just be about their everyday lives, some short stories I might write a few long ones.

Most of the stories are influenced by other fanfictions and fan art.

-4:30 Sunday morning-

"Lance, Lance,... babe we have to go," Keith said while shaking Lance awake.

"what why?" He mumbled

"It's Sunday!" Keith answered

"Oh...Shit really?" He said surprised

"Yeah, let's go, get some clothes on," Keith said walking to the closet. Lance scrambled out of bed and pulled on the jeans he was wearing the day before and a t-shirt that was hanging out of the dirty clothes basket. Keith walked back in the room a backpack on his back and Liams old baby car seat (you can probably guess whats happening), then he gestured his head towards the door. As they walked through the kitchen, Lance left a note for Shiro and Allura.

-Dear Shiro and Allura,

We have left for some reason, don't try calling us, we will be back soon.

Look after our kids, have fun.

"Lance, let's go" Keith whispered

"What about breakfast?" Lance asked

"We'll get some on the way" Keith answer walking out the door. He locked the door and they continued to the truck. 

About half an hour into the drive they stopped at Mcdonalds to get breakfast. They both ordered an Egg and bacon McMuffin, 2 hashbrowns then Keith bought a large long black coffee and Lance got an espresso but by the time they left the building he had finished it so he went back and got a Large hot chocolate.

The next hour and a half went extremely fast well for Keith anyway, about halfway through the drive he tapped out and switched driving with Lance, and he fell asleep straight away.

"Keith, wake up," Lance said shaking Keith awake

"...wha-what's goin' on," Keith said sleepily

"We're here!" Lance replied

Keith sluggishly got out of the car while Lance got the bag and seat. Once Keith had put his jumper back on he got all out of the rubbish from breakfast out. Lance locked the truck and Keith found a garbage bin then they walked hand in hand into the centre. They walked up to the front desk, the lady looked up from her computer.

"Can I help you?" She said

Lance stuttered "u-uh y-yeah, we're here for a pickup,"

The lady looked back at her computer "Name please?"

"uh Lance, Lance McClain,"

"....Ok, and you must be Keith Kogane," She said looking at Keith "...here for... baby number 7," "Right, take this fill it out and we will be right with you," she said as she handed Keith a number of forms to fill. They sat down thinking of the number of ways this could go, they could be making a huge mistake, putting too much on their plate or they could be missing a chance to make this one child's life the greatest ever. They were busy filling out the forms when a round-ish, plump woman called:

"Lance McClain and Keith Kogane?" She looked around the room swiftly waiting for a reply, a bit of a late reaction but Lance looked up, nudging Keith, the lady saw them and gestured towards the door and then walked through. They quickly followed.

"through here" she lead them into a room full of other soon to be parents sitting in little cubicles hidden from others through curtains. She looked down at her notes and mumbled " 9...8...oh here we go number 7, I'll leave you guys some time to fill out the forms and introduce yourselves"

"Thank you," Keith said, as she walked out of the room. They sat down on either side of the small plastic crib and looked at the baby boy.

"Hey buddy we're your new daddies," Lance said stroking the baby's face. The baby opened his eyes and smiled with his toothless mouth then gurgled.

"Go on boys, come get the ball, ha, your too slow!" Shiro called out to Liam and Alfie on the front lawn as Lance and Keith pulled into the driveway.

"Daddy, Papa!" Liam shouted when he saw the familiar faces, "Hey, Bud" Lance said as he shut the car door and crouched down to hug his son. "Where'd you go?" Liam asked curiously, "Yeah where did you go?" Shiro repeated, "Well it's a surprise, so why don't you and Alfie take Uncle Shiro inside and get the girls," Lance instructed "Okay Papa," Liam replied, "come on Alfie and Uncle Shiro, let's find the girls." he said as he ran inside followed by Alfie and Shiro. "Are you ready for this?" Lance said to Keith who had just spent the last 5 minutes trying to get the baby seat out of the truck, "We've done it before," Keith responded, "Yeah but we told everybody before and Kathy came with us." Lance replied, "Good point,...yeah let's do this." Keith said as he interlocked his fingers with his husbands. 

"All right everybody close your eyes, Kids no peaking" Lance shouted into the family room where everyone was sitting, he turned to the doorway where Keith was standing the baby seat in his hand, Lance ushered Keith in. "Okay everyone open your eyes" Keith yelled.
