"is this what dying and going to heaven feels like?" river asked as she lay on the sun bed in a yellow bikini.

"yes, yes it is." timothée mumbled from the sun bed next to hers. they had arrived in crema less than 24 hours ago so their jet lag was unbearable and all they wanted to do was fall asleep in the afternoon sun.

elizabeth and armie had gone into town to collect some groceries for whatever delicious meal liz was making for dinner so timothée and river had taken the opportunity to have some alone time.

"you look beautiful in this light." timothée said absentmindedly as he looked at a glowing river through hooded eyes. she tilted her head to the side so that she could look at his face properly and smiled lazily.

"thanks, lovely. i think you're more tanned already." timothée laughed at her comment and shook his head, struggling to stay awake in the warmth of the late afternoon sun. after a few minutes of comfortable silence, timothée spoke again.
"do you wanna have a movie night tonight?"

"absolutely. armie was telling me about this new one he saw advertised that looked good so he was going to rent it online. i could ask if he wanted to do that and we could all watch it tonight?"

"oh..."

"you okay?"

"mhmm."

a pause, and then, "i was hoping it would just be the two of us."

river laughed lightly and sat up, leaning on her elbows.

"timmy, all you had to do was say that in the first place. of course i want a movie night with just the two of us. you know it's my favourite thing in the world to do."

she laughed again as if timothée was silly for suggesting that she wouldn't want to hang out with him, and his heart swelled to a thousand times it's normal size with pure love for this sweet, sweet girl.
