2018 edit: AGGHAGH, sorry i'm- i'm very irresponsible ack. Writer's block is mmmmm- great. Anyways enough chit chat and read this badly rushed story! also they're like 15 in this story lol, i thought that would be a suitable age in this scenario.

2019 Edit: I came back to edit this after I finally defeated my writer's block, I'm currently writing a Don't starve fic right now, but I owe you guys this fanfic, I will explain what happened to me in the first chapter once I publish it. Anyhow, I hope you enjoy this! Toodle-loo. (I published this fic since it was basically already finished, course I made edits to it because there was some mistakes.)
-----------------------------------------------------------
You traveled to Germany to see your good german friend, Joseph Heilburg. Of course, your parents came with you due to your youth. Though, you and your family had to stay in a hotel since you were staying in this country for only 3 months. You decided to make the most out of it. Jospeh visited you any chance he had, you guys were the bestest of friends, but you wished it could of been more than that. It's too late to gush about it now, another girl had her eyes for him, and grasped him away from your hands. You were devastated once you heard he was in a relationship, it broke your heart, but you couldn't say anything. Joseph did notice something peculiar about you when he visited, but he made no note.

This time you visited his house and you guys laughed and hung out for hours. His parents were out at work, so you both did some rebelic things (like snooping around his parent's room; you had your regrets) Of course, you had to clean the mess afterwards or you would of participated in Jospeh's beating.

After a while, you needed some fresh air. You sat on his porch, looking at the view ahead. You did this as Joseph had his girlfriend over, so you decided to leave them be. You licked your lips, since they turned dry from the wind. It was the evening and the sky was beautiful, it was orange with splashes of dark blue, along with the pink-stained, blurry clouds that moved along with it. There was a small town in the distance, which looked like a mere speck to you, so there weren't as much noise as you expected.

Your hair matched the rhythm of the wind, but your peace faltered after you heard distant shouting in the house behind you. It got closer, until the door slammed open, startling you.

"ICH WEIß, DASS DU DAS LIEBST-" She started to shout in german, which you barely have any knowledge of.

"-SCHLAMPE STATT MICH!" the girl finished, pointing at your figure unexpectedly. Her awfully placed mascara leaked down her face as she cried. What a wonderful sight. Her dirty-blonde hair was an absolute mess, her eyes were puffy too. Joseph finally walked through the door, fear in his eyes. He opened his mouth, but then closed it, not knowing what to say. Joseph tried his best to explain himself, nervously adjusting his glasses meanwhile.

"Fräu, please, she iz only a friend! I don't complain vhen I see jou flirt vith other men zhat iz not I!" The girl's hand twitched in resentment and did the unexpected. She marched up to him and slapped him.

Something unfamiliar snapped in you, and the birds suddenly stopped singing. With anger bubbling up in your chest. You got up and grabbed the girl by the collar of her shirt and punched her right in the nose. She backed up and tripped onto her bottom, desperately grabbing her nose to cover the wound. The blood started to reveal itself, dripping down the crevices between her fingers. She muffled a cry and left. She ran to her bicycle but just before paddling away, she stopped to glance at you with unmasked hatred.

"Irgendwann mal," her voice was shaking in anger.

"Ich hole dich, du wirst nie wieder das Licht der Welt sehen" She didn't bother covering the blood staining her face this time. Instead, she paddled away without another word, letting scarlet droplets stain the dirt trail.

You had no idea what she said, but with the tone of her voice, that was definitely a threat. Jospeh watched the entire scenario in astonishment, he still had his hand on his red cheek, but shocked otherwise.

No words were spoken for a short while, the silence were stabbing at them like knives. Joseph was first to break the tension.

"Vhy.. did jou do zhat..?" Jospeh proceeded to run his fingers through his hair, trying to process what happened.

Anxiety suddenly hit you like a train.

Why did you do that?

That was his girlfriend! Well, ex-girlfriend, seeing that she clearly never wanted to see Jospeh again. Still, nonetheless, you shouldn't of intervened, especially in that manner. Guilt overtook you, your heart tearing a little more at the fact you may have destroyed his happiness. Trying to avoid eye contact, you looked at the fist you punched her with. A little bit of blood stained it, you frowned.

"I didn't mean it," you muttered.

"I'm sorry."

That was all you could muster out, and you looked at the ground in defeat. "I understand if you-" you didn't finish your sentence, Joseph had his arms wrapped around your waist and you were more than confused. "Zhank you.." he breathed the words on your neck, giving you a sense of relaxation. Jospeh did finally explain himself.

"I've been vanting to vreak up vith her for a vhile, i just didn't have zhe guts to do so"

You widened your eyes in shock, so you did him a favor? Not knowing how to react, you stood there, taking this all in. He finally released you from his embrace. Taking a second to find your voice, all you could squeak out was a simple "You're welcome." Jospeh smiled in reply. He swung his hips a bit before awkwardly inviting you inside:

"Ahem, vould jou like any snacks? vatch a movie perhaps? A massage?" He winked jokingly.

You scoffed, smiling at his attempt to break the awkward tension, it kinda worked anyhow.

"Yeah sure, why not. Wanna watch The Pan's Labyrinth? I bet it'll scare ya!" You nudged the german fellow.

Joesph laughed wholeheartedly, the tension slowly easing off their shoulders.

"If jou'd like, also is zhat a challenge?"

Walking to plop yourself on his couch, you asked a delayed question.

"What did your girl say to me?"

Jospeh flashed an emotion of either pity or surprise.

"Nothing jou need to know of, liebe." Jospeh was quick to brush away the skeptical thoughts by tackling you into the couch. Your laughter faded into the background of the movie, and hoped this would be the most enjoyable night of your life.

The night was better spent watching movies, laughing at unfunny jokes, playing games. All the other fun stuff. This time, no unrequited love was blocking the way either, and they both spent the night, just a little more than just friends.

Well hope you guys enjoyed reading this! I reread this like 10 times and honestly feeling lazy by now. Feel free to point out any mistakes I missed. Constructive criticism is also very much appreciated! Also Medic's girlfriend (17) was a slutty and abusive cheater (he knew but didn't acknowledge it in fear), if that justifies his feelings for reader.
