a few weeks later; 15 days until flying to Miami

It's been over a month since I've been dating Brad. He makes me so happy - he's constantly complimenting me, showing me off to his friends, but he still feels kind of like a best friend to me, like I can trust him with anything. He might be my first boyfriend, but hopefully we'll last awhile. I told my mom around the time we started dating that we were a thing, but I asked her to ease Dad into it instead of just dropping the bomb. So finally, after all this time, my dad has finally accepted that I have a boyfriend, but he insists on meeting him for dinner right away. Tonight, Brad will be coming over for dinner to meet my family, let's hope it goes well.

As for the girls, we're doing fine. I feel like ever since I started dating Brad, I've become more apart of the group. I feel like I finally fit in to this school in general. I still haven't told the girls about leaving for Magcon yet, I hope they take it well. I've been hanging out with them for the past few months, but I hang out with Amy the most out of the group. We are just closer for some reason.

Paige and Violet. I haven't seen or heard from them since October, and now it's almost Christmas. I miss them so much, but I messed up bad and I have no idea how to fix it. I'm pretty certain they think I've replaced them and I'm having the time of my life with my friends at the private school. But truly, I'd choose them over anyone.

Eli and I are more distant than we used to be due to the fact he hates Brad and I's relationship. We're still friends, and I promised to help him with his YouTube and social media growth, so I'm still doing that. I'm proud of him - he's got 10k subscribers, a couple thousand Instagram and twitter followers, and he's becoming more comfortable playing guitar and singing in front of people. Magcon 2nd Generation starts soon, and I'm so excited to go, and it will be nice to have Eli as a familiar face from school with me.

"Margo! Come on downstairs. Dinner is almost ready!" Mom called from downstairs.

I responded back, saying I'd be down in a minute. I grabbed my phone, reading the texts from Brad.

Brad: ok I'm kinda nervous

Brad: I hope your dad likes me

Brad: what if he doesn't??

Brad: oh god

Brad: I'm kinda freaking out rn princess

Brad: I'm almost here

Me: it's okay he's gonna like you!! see you soon <3

I put my phone on my bed and head downstairs. Instantly, I smelled the delicious food that my mom made.

"Smells good," I tell my mom, entering the kitchen.

"Thank you, can you help me bring it over to the table?"

"Of course."

I grab the vegetables and place them at the dinner table. Dad walks in with Ethan a little bit after the table was complete, and they both sit down at the table. We all heard a knock on the door, and I hurried to get it. I open the door and there was Brad, all dressed up, looking good as ever.

"Hi princess," he smiles, hugging me and giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"Hi," I say happily, letting him in the door. "Come on in."

We walk into the dining room where my family was sitting.

"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Grier, it's nice to meet you guys," Brad smiled.

"You too, Brad! Please take a seat," Mom says. He pulled out a chair for me, and then sat in the chair next to it. Look at him being all gentleman like, I smiled down at my lap.

"Let's eat then!" Dad says. I can't tell what he thinks yet, but he isn't fuming which is a good sign.

"I play football and baseball for the school, ma'am," Brad says, in reply to my mom's question.

"That's a lot of time put in for sports; are you able to keep up on your grades and schoolwork still?" Dad asks.

"Yes, I am able to keep up in my classes with all the work. I struggled a bit at times, but Margo here helps me out sometimes," Brad smiles, looking at me.

This is basically how the night has been going: my parents asking questions about Brad, he answers, next question. He seems like he doesn't mind at all which was completely different than how he was when he texted me earlier.

Soon dinner came to an end, and I helped clean up. Brad offered to help, but my mom told him not to worry, so he and my dad went to the living room to watch a sports game and talk. My mom and I later joined them in the living room, and we just sat and hung out for awhile. Ethan had already gone upstairs to play. Dad changed the channel from sports to a random channel with a movie on it.

"Hey, I got to go to the bathroom real quick, where is it?" Brad asks.

"Just up the stairs and the second door on the left," I say. He nods and mentions he'll be right back.

"I like him, honey!" Mom says after he's out of ear shot.

"He seems nice," Dad shrugs. "But I swear to God, the second he-"

"He's not going to do anything, Dad. He truly cares about me," I say.

"I'm still keeping a close eye on him."

"I think he's great and sweet!" Mom says, she's very happy that she finally got to meet him.

Brad comes down the stairs, walking into the living room. "I just got a text, my ride is here. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Grier for having me over tonight, and the dinner was amazing."

"Thank you hun, you're welcome back anytime!" Mom smiles.

"Okay maybe not anytime, but you're welcome back here," Dad adds. "Nice to see you, and keep my girl happy."

"You got it, sir," Brad smiles at me.

"I'll walk you out," I say, getting up from the couch and walking over to the door with him. "I think you made a great first impression," I whispered.

"Really? I'm glad. It seems like your dad doesn't completely hate me," he lightly laughed.

"Yes, really. He definitely does not hate you. Alright, I'll see you at school on Monday," I say.

"See you Monday," he smiled, then kissed my cheek and left.

I'm glad tonight went well.
