Chapter Twelve
Supernova by Ansel Elgort

"I cannot believe it! You are actually staying, we are going to be friends- Actual friends! I am going to have a girlfriend in this stupid manor! "

One second didn't pass before Gabriella tackled me to the ground- literally- she wasn't heavy, probably weighed around 125, so not really heavy at all. I would have fell head first, but luckily the counter behind me kept me steady.

From the past week of Gabriella and Diana unexpected hugs, I learned that I wasn't a real big fan of them. I felt uncomfortable- Really comfortable. I didn't know where to place my arms, did they wrap around their neck or waist? And for how long a  regular hug should be?

I didn't know why. Maybe had to do something with the memory loss, but I didn't like getting very close to people. It wasn't only hugging. One time during this week, Alec tried to peak over my shoulder and that meant he had to stand closer than he should.

His intentions weren't wrong or sinful. He was just trying to read something over my shoulder, but I felt awkward and uncomfortable. My stomach held a huge pit of it and I didn't like. I practically wanted to throw up from all the closeness.

The main time I didn't have the ill feeling or the needing to push the individual away was when Mr Vasilev held me to quiet down my fit of anxiety, yet that was for an entirely unexpected circumstance. Thus, I didn't tally it.

He was attempting to help me and he did a matter of fact.

It wasn't for pleasure or enjoyment.

I tried avoiding the hugs and standing way to close to people as much as possible, but Gabriella and Dianna, mostly Gabriella were big huggers.  I didn't want to be rude to the kindest people in the manor, I didn't want to tell them that I didn't feel comfortable or right with close interactions.

So, I just let it happen. Pushing down the uncomfortable feeling.

Her long arms were wrapped around my waist. She was jumping and down, making me follow her bouncing movements. Her Italian accent was rushing off her tongue, it was slightly hard to understand her when she spoke so quickly

"Gabriella, I cannot breath" I could just imagine my face becoming the exact shade of an eggplant. She was a small thing, but she had some strength on her. No wonder why she was apart of the business before.

She was disguised as a tiny thing, but underneath that mask, she was a beast.

"Oops" she giggled and let go of my body. I could finally breathe fully, I can hear my lungs curing out Gabriella in every single language possible "I am just so happy! You don't realize how annoying it can be to hang out with a bunch of males every day for the past eight years"

"Thanks, a lot Sweetie" Dianna's voice piped in. She didn't sound mad or even offended. She played along. Dianna was big and bright, from how wide her smile was. You could see that she was missing a few teeth, but even with a few missing teeth, that didn't stop her from smiling brightly.

In her eyes, you see the happiness- I could feel the happiness radiating from her.

"No offence Dianna! I just need someone around my age" Gabriella was twenty-eight-years-old, so she was only a few years older than me. In a few years, she'll be in her thirties, it was weird to think of that.

She still looked like a teenager in my eyes.  From her wide blue eyes, that still held brightness and colour, no faded darkness hinted in them. Her face was free from wrinkles and acne, it was like she had an angel face.
