Percy Jackson represents the deadly sin of wrath. He seems to be angered faster than the rest of the Seven. Wrath is defined as (almost) fractious emotions of anger, rage, and even hatred. It finds itself spoken in the form of revenge more often than not. According to the Riordan Wikia, "Percy is somewhat short-tempered, and thus has trouble controlling his anger (especially when he sees bullying)..."

Percy also moderately initiates the sin of wrath by damaging Akhlys in The House of Hades. When she threw her poison at them, he used his powers of hydrokinesis to redirect the poison and suffocate the Protogenoi of misery and poison. As it appears to me (if I am remembering correctly), he seemed to get angrier, and he only stopped when Annabeth grew terrified and pleaded with him to stop.

In The Lightning Thief, he is angered by Nancy Bobofit quite easily, and summons water to drag her down. In the same book, he feels a deluge of rage and power defeated the Minotaur by ripping off its horn and stabbing it in the chest with it, much like the hero Theseus who came before him. Later, when Clarisse La Rue tries to give him a swirlie in the girls' bathroom, their rivalry instigates when her plan backfires as Percy shot water out of the toilet. This successfully drove Clarisse and her friends away (I do not know if he was angered during this time). It is also mentioned early in the book that he stood up for Grover Underwood, his only best friend at Yancy Academy and satyr.

In The Titan's Curse, Percy grows angry at Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus, and uses the creek water to splash her, and he lies about it being an accident. They then get into a fight, each attack they summoned stronger than the last. Percy then stops himself when he sees the Oracle walking up to them, and Zoë Nightshade asks about saving Artemis. He is maddened that he was not permitted to take part in the quest, because it was his opportunity to save Annabeth after she had been taken off a cliff by the manticore. When he sends an Iris Message to Camp Half-Blood when they were cornered by Dr. Thorn, the only person on the other end was Mr. D (Dionysus in disguise). He forced Percy to ask politely, and he does so through clenched teeth.

In The Last Olympian, Percy is enraged when Annabeth takes a dagger from Ethan Nakamura for him, thus incapacitating the son of Nemesis by knocking him unconscious with his sword.

In Percy Jackson and the Singer of Apollo, he becomes annoyed with the Sun God. He expresses this by complaining that Apollo could get the celeodne himself.

In The Son of Sobek, Carter Kane thinks he killed Percy, but Percy's anger caused him to launch a wave of water in Carter's face.
