[Time Jump]
(Y/N's POV)
It's been months. The my leg of the tour is well over. The hype from the album has gone down. And on top of that? Each of the girls have been working solo. The most shocking part is, Fifth Harmony is no more. A few months ago they announced an indefinite hiatus and that they would do a few shows through out 2018. Needless to say fans were shocked, hurt, disappointed, hell, even celebrities were. I know you're wondering what happened between Normani and I. I'm pleased to tell you we're getting married in the spring and are expecting our first child. Not. Once everything with the group went up in smoke, so did what we had. I chalked it up to her being upset but hey, it is what it is. At least one good thing is, I keep up with the rest of the crew. Ally been gloin, Dinah been tryna get fine on everybody, and Lauren is...being Lauren but we wouldn't have that any other way right? Right.

Tonight's the night of the Billboard Music Awards and Ryan and I are getting ready for the red carpet.

"You ready bestfriend?" Ryan asked

"As I'll ever be." I smile uneasily, already knowing I'm going to see Her.

"Look.. I know what you're thinking. Don't sweat it okay? Y'all probably won't even cross paths. But hey, at least after this we have the after party AND we get to see the three banditos."

The idea of all of us partying caused a genuine smile to grace my face. I missed my dogs man. Skype and facetime was cool but, we needed this turn up time.

"True. Lets go."

The arrival to the award show was like any other. You arrive, they drop you off, and you get questioned from the street to the door. I know off bat Ryan and I got asked about 5H at least 4 times. They want us to paint them as divas but we won't; we couldn't possibly throw them under the bus like that.

"So Y/N? How's that second album coming? We're loving that first single you put out."

"Thank you! It's been a process but it's coming along great. I've been working with some talented artists and producers so I'm excited for the fans to hear it!"

"Amazing! We definitely can't wait for that! Can we get a hint as to who's featured?"

"Mmm, I mean I've been working on something with Cardi B. She's on fire right now, and it wouldn't be right if I didn't do a track with her." I smile brightly.

"I have a feeling the ladies will love that one. Will you be working on an upcoming project with Normani? We know you two were friends, is that an option?"

"I um-" I begin before clearing my throat. "You'll honestly just have to wait and see." I flash another smile in order to mask the discomfort.

"Will do! Great talking to you, cutie." The announcer smiled and hugged me before turning back to the camera.

I feigned a smile before walking over to Ryan. Poking my lips out, I tilted over and laid it on her shoulder.

"Aye, you did good. You didn't show anger, and you answered responsibly. I'm proud of you Grasshoppa."

We both walked in and took our seats. We chatted it up with our row mates before I looked up and saw her walking down the aisles. I can't lie, she looks great. Before long Ryan catches my gaze and leans over in front of my eyes. "Naaaah nah, you can't let her get you off your game. You have to perform, no way in hell she's gonna ruin that." Ryan coached me as I nodded my head. She was right, this was my first televised performance so I had to give it my all.

A quarter way through the show I was pulled from the audience to go backstage to get changed for my performance. Ryan headed back with me to make sure I wasn't being a headass. Honestly? If it wasn't for her I don't know where I'd be. She picked me out a simple outfit; San Jose Sharks hockey jersey, some jeans, crisp white air force ones and some rounded shades. After I changed I headed in the hall to get mic'd by one of the stage hands.

Once finished, I leaned against the opening and looked out on the stage. Just my luck, it was her turn. Part of me wanted to go back in my dressing room, but the other half figured I would've seen it one way or another. From start to finish my eyes stayed on her. She glowed, she owned it, she had the crowed eating from her hands and she knew it. I'm proud of her, she's blossoming into a star. I nodded my head in approval and clapped along with the crowd once they finished. I let out a slight sigh before turning once Ryan came up to give me the run down.

"Okay, you know you're performing King's Dead with Kendrick, Jay Rock, and Future. After they start the song and do the first verse, you'll make your entrance. Please tell me you remember all your words, and don't worry about the "fuck" parts. They'll censor those out." Ryan continued to explain as I nodded my head. I was listening, that was until I smelled that familiar sweet scent. My eyes adverted over Ryan's shoulder and were met with a pair of beautiful brown eyes- Her. Our eyes remained locked as she floated down the hall. I wanted to say something, but I'm pretty sure my gaze said it all. It wasn't until she disappeared into her dressing room that we disconnected.

"You still a bitch." Ryan stated while laughing. "Shake that shit off, get ready."

(Mani's POV)
Those eyes. They get me everytime. I had been doing a good job with hiding my feelings but as soon as I look into her eyes they come rushing back. I miss Y/n. I let my feelings mess us up before we even get started and honestly I regretted every minute of it. Between the group deteriorating, trying to go solo, and trying to hide my true self from my family; I pushed her away. I want to try things again, but I don't wan't to get judged or disowned.

"You floored that bitch." Choie grinned as she came inside the room.

"Thank you." I smiled as I fixed my dress. "C'mon lets go back." I grabbed her hand and we made our way back inside to our seats to see the next performance. The lights in the auditorium dimmed before the familiar call in the beginning of King's Dead was heard. The stage filled with red lights as Kendrick and Future popped on stage and began the song. Needless to say, the entire audience was up rapping along with them. Soon after you see smoke, and a section of the stage opening as a familiar silhouette steps forward; Y/n. The crowd; mainly the girls; went crazy. She has the hardest verse in the entire song so it'd be hard for anyone to not be excited right now; Hell, I was even rapping the words myself. She had grown from the tour. She was more put together and not as wild, mature even. Either way, I found it sexy.

(No one's POV)
[later that night]

Normani bit down on her lip as she laid back and scrolled through her contact list. She tapped on the name she had been attempting to avoid. She wanted to not say anything, but that was impossible at this moment. She had to talk to her. She tapped the compose button and typed a message.

📲Kittymonger 🐱: I'm sorry I didn't get to say it.. but you did amazing tonight.

She let out a shaky breath before pressing send. She was scared at how Y/n would react. Y/n had a right to be angry or even irritated, but Normani prayed she wouldn't be either.

Across town, Y/n was engrossed in Kingdom Hearts 2 as she felt her phone buzz beside her. She paused the game and grabbed her phone. Needless to say, she was taken aback by the name on her screen and honestly felt a little hesitant to respond but shit- yolo.

📲🍫🐰: so you still have my number 🤔
📲🍫🐰: you didn't do too bad yourself, pretty girl.

Were they making a come back? We'll see.

A/N: SURPRISE! I'm sorry it took so long for this to happen but I honestly had lost muse. I'm happy to say I've gotten it back. I'll try to keep up with updating this since I have ideas now. Drop comments, likes, and check out New Harmonies too! Thanks guys.
