CHAPTER 3/Rude Interruptions

"Wait- How do you do a tie again?" Ron asked, fussing with the object around his neck, grimacing. Hermione gave an exasperated sigh as she stepped forward, batting his hands away and doing it for him.

"Honestly Ronald, you wouldn't last a day in the muggle world." She sighed, stepping back to survey her work. Ron smiled gratefully. The wedding was starting soon, so we had all come upstairs to get dressed. The black dress robes Ron and I wore were simple and neat, while Hermione's lilac ones shimmered prettily in the light. Her purple bag was wrapped around her wrist.

"Ronald! Ronald get down here, they're doing pictures!" Mrs. Weasley's voice came from the first floor, and Ron, after letting out a quiet groan, left quickly, his footsteps loud on the stairs. Hermione's lips twitched amusedly as she turned back to the mirror, running her fingers through her hair when another voice came.

" 'Mione, you in here?" Siri asked, peeking in. I moved to answer, but I was at a loss as she stepped inside, the short gold dress she was wearing shimmering with each step. She smiled tenatively at me before walking past, going to Hermione. She took her friend's arm, saying something gently to her before turning to me while Hermione quickly grabbed for her earrings.

"You look great." She said with a small nod. I smiled weakly, glancing quickly down at myself as if for confirmation.

"Thanks. You-" I tried to force the lump out of my throat as I gestured to her, "You look fantastic."

Siri smiled appreciatively, gray eyes dark with an emotion I couldn't read. "Thanks, Harry." She said before Hermione declared herself ready, and the two left the room to disappear into the bride's. On my own I walked downstairs, trying to catch sight of Ron. Bill stood by the door, talking to some of the guests. I was relieved when Ron appeared by my side again, looking mildly flustered as he pulled at the tie around his neck.

"Ready to go mate?" He asked, and I nodded.

The guests were already arriving for the wedding, and after a brief instruction from Mrs. Weasley on what to do and where to lead them we began escorting them to seats. I was pleased to see a familar face in the crowd, her blonde hair pulled up off her neck in a messy up do. The dress she wore was a bright yellow.

"Hello Harry." Luna greeted as I approached, her smile soft and dreamy as ever.

"Hello Luna." I returned pleasantly, watching as another wizard walked up behind her, his robes the same color as his daughter's dress. He smiled at me.

"Ah, Mr. Potter. I'm Xenophilius Lovegood." He introduced, shaking my hand. I nodded quickly, not getting much of a word in before they had their seats and the wedding was beginning. I quickly found my place with Ron and Hermione, sitting between them with a soft huff as the music began, the bridesmaids the first to walk down the aisle. Gabrielle went first, smiling as she walked down the aisle. Then Ginny, who looked as pretty as ever. With Charlie Weasley in tow Siri walked down, flowers gripped in her other hand.

"Do you, William Weasley, take Fleur Marie Delacour to be your lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold, through sickness and health till death do you part?" The preacher asked, and Bill smiled.

"I do."

I stifled a laugh as I heard Mrs. Weasley crying in the front row, holding a tissue up to her face. Siri was standing next to Fleur, her eyes dancing as she watched her cousin get married. While my focus was on the wedding, I could feel my eyes drift every now and then back to her.

"I now pronounce you wizard and wife. You may kiss the bride." The preacher smiled, and Bill kissed Fleur before the tent broke out into applause. The handsome couple strut down the aisle with wide smiles, and it was only a moment later that Siri stepped forward in front of the crowd, hands clasped in front of her.
