"No... No... Don't... Please don't leave me... Come back, please come back to me... I'm so sorry, come back please... the ambulance is on the way" I pleaded and prayed that he'd open his eyes but something inside me already knew that he was dead.
I could hear the sirens in the distance as I sat there hugging my best friend and trying to stop the blood from pouring out of the wound in his stomach.
I yelled for help but no one was around anymore. "Open your eyes, please just open your eyes" I pleaded again as the sirens got louder "You'll be alright" I promised even though I knew deep inside that there was very little hope that it was true.
"We'll take it from here miss" someone said from behind me and I looked up tears streaming down my face.
"Let go" Another voice added and tugged at my arm. I let go of him and stumbled back letting the paramedics take over.
I looked down at myhands covered with his blood and felt sick to my stomach I started wiping on myshirt rapidly but it was covered in his blood too and only made it worse. Ifell on my knees and cupped my face crying uncontrollably. I don't know howmuch time passed but it felt like several hours before arms wrapped around meand I breathed in a familiar scent of safety.
