A Couple Weeks Later.

Today I had my doctors appointment, and my doctor was going to get me on somebody birth control, before I even have a pregnancy scare.

"Hello, Ms. Patterson. How are you today?" Dr. Taylor says coming in and sitting down on the stool.

"I'm fine, just a little nervous that's all, how are you?" I replied.

"Wonderful, my husbands back in town tonight, and you might not be the only one who needs birth control." she says jokingly

"I can't with you today, Dr. Taylor." I laughed. "What method do you think is more effective."

"My oldest daughter has the depo shot. I wouldn't prefer the pills because, what if you forget to take em one day? I had the IUD but I wanted it taken out because of the side effects."

"I'll go with the depo shot." I sighed. I was nervous, I knew this would change my life forever. But i wanted it to be something temporary, until I was sure that I wanted children.

"Okay, we're just waiting on Ms. Wilkins with your pregnancy test results and I'll get you set." She says looking at her clipboard. There was a knock on the door and there walks in Kyonna. I rolled my eyes and gave her a fake smile.

"Here's your results for Ms. Patterson, Dr. Taylor." she says looking over at me popping her gum, walking out the room.

"Summer, you are indeed pregnant!" Dr. Taylor says looking at the pregnancy test.

"Are you sure?" I say sounding confused. "The last time, I had sex was about a month ago. This can't be. I would've been had signs."

"Some women , don't show signs of pregnancy in the early stages." Dr. Taylor explained.

"The nurse... That took my test, I knew her. Maybe she switched somebody's test with mine.Just to mess with my head. Can i take another, just to be sure." I say

"No problem!" she says reaching in the drawer pulling out another test for me to take. I stepped out and went to the ladies room. I read the instructions, and began to pee on the test. I sat and waited for a few, and sighed.  Positive . I was indeed pregnant, and it was his. After I informed Dr. Taylor that I was pregnant, she wrote me a prescription for my prenatal vitamins, and a referral to one of the best OBGYNs in Atlanta. My life was literally over. I didn't know how to tell Jacquees that I'm pregnant or explain to Keenon that i'm carrying another persons child, after the fact he tried to give me one of his own.

After stopping by Wendy's getting me something to eat, I went home and called my sister.

"Wassup bitch!" Aniyah says answering the phone.

"Nothing much, just chilling. How is everyone doing?" I ask taking a bite into my Baconator.

"Everyone is fine. How are you?"

"Not too good, sis" I sighed sitting up.

"I know, I heard it in your tone, when you answered the phone. Is Jai bothering you?" she says.

"No, Aniyah. I'm pregnant." I said plainly. I didn't know how to feel at this point.

"Are you serious? How far along are you?" she asked.

"A month." I replied. "The thing is, I didn't even know or notice."

"So. What happens from here? Who's the father ?"

"I don't know what to do , or how to tell him." I said.

"Him? Who is he? Keenon?" she asked again.
