Two women are talking in German, and a man laughs. One of the women is named Jean, she just arrived at Heaven. Her skin was tannish, and her blonde hair was tide up in a bun, the woman she was talking to is Elice, her long gray hair reached her back, and her accent thick, the man next to them is Elice's husband Heinrich, his dark gray hair was tied back in a pony tail.
Heinrich: Welcome to Heaven, we were hoping not to see you for a few more years.
Jean: I was hoping to stay alive just a little while longer so I could see Domanik again.
Heinrich: You can still see him.
Jean: How?
He walks to the edge of the horizon and points to a small apartment complex.
Heinrich: he's right...there, the boy with the short hair there.
Jean: So he finally cut it..he looks...upset.
Elice: They're having coupley quarrels.
A boy with short, blond hair stares at his phone, anxious to hear what his girlfriend has to say.
Noelle: We need to talk.
Domanik: Um okay...
Noelle: I know we've talked about this before, but we really didn't go into depth about it...um...how do I word this? I don't really like what we've been doing, we don't really talk anymore, I'm tired of going to bed feeling uncomfortable after what we've done, I don't even know what to call it.
Domanik: To be honest I don't really like it either.
Noelle: I don't like going to bed regretting how we spent our time together, I want to actually talk to you, not talk while doing...that.
Domanik: I know, I know, but we don't have to do that anymore.
Noelle: I'm starting to wish that you were back on that man's retreat, you were so kind and sweet then, it was like a piece of you that I fell in love with came back, and now it's gone again.
Domanik: But I'm still here, I never left.
Noelle: I want things to go back to how they used to be, when we actually talked and flirted.
Domanik: Things can still go back to how they were.
Noelle: Can they?
Domanik: Yes it can, we can stop doing this, we can forget it all.
Noelle: I don't want to forget everything. Yes I want things to go back to how they were but if things start to escalate, let it.
Domanik: okay just please don't leave me.
Noelle: What? Domanik I'm not breaking up with you. I love you, you're stuck with me remember?
Domanik: Oh... I thought you were.
Noelle: No I'm not, I'm never going to break up with you, no matter what happens or what you do I will always love you.
Jean walks over to Elice and they start to talk again.
Elice: I'm proud of him. Look at how far he's come.
Jean: Yeah, but I don't think he got here on his own. Spring must've helped him a lot.
Elice: It's not Spring. She left here a while ago, said she wanted to be on her own.
Jean: So who's the new girl?
Elice: Her name is Noelle, she's a perfect match for Domanik, led him to the right track and they've been devoted to each other since day one of their relationship.
Heinrich: Yup, he finally chose the right kind of girl to be with, she's intelligent, beautiful, and has the biggest heart anyone could have.
A boy with blond hair, and gray eyes ran over, his hair wet as well as his clothes.
Elice: My boy! Have you been running through rain clouds again?! You're soaked all the way through!
Jason: Sorry..
Elice: Did you have fun?
Jason: Yeah...
Elice: Well then there's no reason to be sorry.
Heinrich: Jason! Come here please.
Jason: Yes grampa.
Heinrich: Do you want to see your father?
Jason: Yes sir...but..can I go down there this time?
Heinrich: Yes, but you've got to hold onto me tightly.
Jason: Yes sir!
The small boy climbed onto his grandfather's back and gripped his shoulders tightly. Heinrich jumped off the Horizon and landed on his feet, leaving no prints as they walked to Domanik's side.
Jason: What do I do?
Heinrich: Anything. You can talk to him, hold his hand, but don't expect an answer.
Jason didn't do anything but stare, tempted to hold his father's hand, to speak, but the thought of not getting an answer put him off of it. Heinrich sat on the other side of Domanik and put his hand on his shoulder.
Heinrich: Domanik...your aunt is up in Heaven with us, she hasn't changed a bit. Your grandmother now has her gossip buddy back.
He shifted in his seat and took a deep breath.
Heinrich: You know whatever happens between you and Noelle...she's still going to love you. That girl you're with is devoted to you, if only you knew what she says when you're not around, she has a journal she writes in, it's all things about you. Nothing bad, some of the things in there are things you've told her. There are things in there she wants to tell you, but she's nervous still. Be patient with her, she may move as fast as you do, but in the end, she's still admiring the roses. You need to actually talk to her again, treat her like how you used to, not everything in a relationship revolves around the physical aspects of it. You've got to tell her the things that she always like to hear from you. She doesn't feel special anymore.
He picks up a moleskin journal with a rose detailing on it. He licks his finger, flips a few pages, and starts to read.
Heinrich: She doesn't feel special anymore, she thinks about you and Spring. She's panicking Domanik, She's trying to do the same things you do, she's scared she's going to lose you, she thinks she's a substitute for Spring. Her not being able to have children has made her feel worse. She doesn't want to tell you this because she doesn't want you to think anything less of her, or make you think she's jealous. That's why she's working so hard. She wants you to be proud of her, now she's pushing herself past her limits. I know you're proud of her, we're all proud of her, but you need to prove it to her, if you know she's upset, comfort her and she'll speak up.
He gets up and holds his hand out to Jason.
Heinrich: Time to go.
Jason: Do we have to go?
Heinrich: Yes, we've got work to do.
Jason reluctantly takes Heinrich's hand and they go back to their spot on the horizon.
Jason: I love you Daddy.
