Chapter 3 ~ Fire?!

~ Mary's POV ~

  I finally brought Kathy her clothes but she wasn't there. I guess I took too long... I started to go looking around for her and found her near a drinking fountain. "Sorry I took so long Kathy" I apologized. "Its OK" She said with a smile. 

~ Kathy's POV ~

  I took the clothes that she brought me and went into the bathroom stall that I was in before. I looked at the clock in the hall and noticed that I had less than 5 minuets to get to class. I hurried to the bathroom and closed the door to the stall. I changed into a green shirt and some shorts. They looked designer. Was she rich or something? I thought. I am going to ask her that when I see her again. I got to class right before the teacher came in. I looked around to see if Mary was in my class. She wasn't. Ugh I hate it when my friends are in a different class then me. Anyways, Science went by really sssssssssllllllllloooooooowwwwwwwllllllllllyyyyyyyy. I fell asleep (again) and woke up to a really obnoxiously loud sound. Once I got to conciseness I realized that it was a fire alarm. The teachers where screaming that this was not a practice drill. I got kind-of scared because it was real and this school was not very old and I just made a new friend. All my emotions are mixed right now and I quickly lined up and our class went outside. I got a strange feeling, the same one I got while walking to school. Again I tried to brush it aside but it didn't work. Ugh I hate this feeling. Then I got a picture in my head, as if some-one, or something was sending it to me. The image lasted for about 5 seconds, but I still understood what it meant. I jumped and started to float, and did a motion that can't be described with my hands and turned into a unicorn. Then I spread great wings and lifted. Everyone was looking at me. I looked up and saw my new enemy. The dark horse. It was casting some sort of spell onto the school, it was fire magic. Something that I have once read about. I flew up and the other unicorn noticed me. It was a she. She tried to shoot magic at me but I dodged. I shot back and she dodged too. Then we both started using different powers, Rays. My Ray was beating hers and it was just about to hit her when I heard someone scream my name. "KATHY!!!!!!" I looked over and my ray stopped. Everything went black and I could feel my-self fall. I heard laughter and the sound of hooves walking around me. Then I heard my enemy turn back to human

~ Mary's POV ~

  My class went outside and what I saw was really weird and amazing and also scary. I saw a dark horse flying around sending some sort of power to our school. I realized that that power was Fire Magic, something that I read about in a so called "fiction" book called "The Magic Within". I looked around and saw that everyone was looking in the exact same place. I looked around for Kathy, but I could'nt find her. Then I saw someone rising up with Light Magic around them. I was new here so I had no idea who it was. But then I recognized Kathy. Kathy had Light Magic!? How come she never told me?! I guess she didn't really have time to tell me we kind-of met like 30 mins ago and didn't see each other for any more than 5 minuets. But still, I was surprised. Then I saw the two unicorns fighting. "KATHY!!!!!!" I screamed. I don't know why I did. She is going to hate me.
