Chapter 3 (Kyle's POV)

I'm still getting used to everything, I still don't know my way around and I don't really know anyone besides Alex and now Avery, who by the way is super cute but she looks very firmilier and I can't put my finger on it. I sit with Alex at lunch, he had some friends with him that were super nice. There was Josh, Jake, and William. I think my favorite was William because he was kind looking but he is really emo and dark on the inside. Anyway, I really like this group of friends I have now. Josh was in the middle of telling your mama so fat joke, which I hate, when Avery comes over.

"What's up bro" she says sitting next to Alex, I look down the table at her catching her wink at me. I look away in blush.

"We need to talk" Alex whispers to me before he looks back over at Avery. I nod as he looks back and continue on my food.

He pulled me aside after lunch.

"What do you need?" I ask.

"Avery is going to try and use you I just want you to be careful alright?" He explains.

"Yes of course" I say in suspicion.

"Thanks man, trust me, Avery is a big time player ahe will use you like a tissue and easily throw you away like one" he says, this shook me. I was taken once by a player and I remembered how bad it felt.

"Alright dude I promise" I say, we shake hands and I hurry to my class.

"Today was so boring" I say as I open the door of my dorm to see that Avery wasn't here. I shrug and put my stuff down on my bed. I hear the bathroom door open making me jump.

"Hey sweety" Avery says all flirty coming closer to me. She was wearing white daisy dukes and a blue crop top.

"Listen sweet cheeks" I smirk disgustingly at her.

"I'm not a toy for you to play with and then throw away alright? You better keep your hands off of me! And my good friend Alex!" I start to yell in anger and get out of control.

"Listen honey" she says calmly putting her arms around my neck.

"I'm not here to hurt anyone" she slightly giggles. Her eyes were a beautiful bright blue, they were absolutely gorgeous, I couldn't look away.

"Distracted much?" She smiles evily.

"Not at all" I say strongly as I pull her hands off of me and start packing my stuff. She left the room in anger, she was mad she couldn't get all this. I laugh at my own thoughts and pack up all my stuff. I get my stuff and walk back to the front office.

"I would like a new room" I tell her.

"I knew one of you would come to me, sharing a room with a girl isn't easy huh?" She asks.

"No a girl is fine just not that girl" I say.

"Alright cause I have another lonely girl needing a roommate" she says opening an file.

"Ill take it" I say. She hands me a key, 346, dang that was far down. I gladly take it and head down the hall.

"343, 344, 345, 346!" I say approach ing the room. I reach for the door knob and hear a girl screaming, I don't hezitate to swing the door open.

"You better hand it over girl!" An older man was holding her by her shirt.

"I don't have it!" She cried.

"Put her down!" I yell, my voice shocked the man, he immediately dropped her hard on the ground and walked out. I bring my stuff inside and set them down.

"You alright?" I ask helping her up.

"Yes I'm ok" she says groaning in pain, I help her stand then I sit her on her bed.

"I'm your new roommate so dont sorry I will protect you" I say, I can clearly see the blush on her face.

"Thanks" she mumbles. I unpack my stuff and she just sits there and watches me shyly. I finish up and sit down on,my bed facing her.

"Whats your name sweetheart?" I ask, I almost hesitated but I called her that pet name to seem confident.

"Sidney Pierce" she says coming her hair with her fingers.

"Kyle Jackson, nice to meet you" I say extra kindly. She smiles and looks away.

"Look Sidney you don't have to be shy around me, I'm not that guy who wanted a girl as a roomate so I could get some, it just happened that I got a girl, and a beautiful one at that" I say getting up and coming closer to her.

"Thanks Kyle" she says way less shyly then she was.

"So who was that guy?" I ask looking back at the door.

"His name is Jordan, he is an ex of mine and he thinks I stool all his money but he spent it all at a bar while he was drunk so he doesn't remember" she explains.

"Hoe much was it?" I ask, why would a guy fuss over a few dollars you know? I just need to know.

"2,000" she says looking away from me. My jaw dropped, 2,000 dollars?!?!?!

"Wow" I say still in shock.

"Yeah" she whimpers wiping twars off her cheeks.

"Oh no no no please don't cry" I say rubbing her back gently. She turns and hides her face on my chest.

"Hey its gonna be alright" I say rubbing her back and stroking her hair. She sniffs and pulls away as the tears lighten up.

"I'm s-sorry" she hiccups.

"No your ok I totally get it" I say putting my arm around her shoulder holding her close. Suddenly there was a knock on the door.

"I'll get it" I say slowly standing up. I open the door and see that guy again, I make sure to block his view of Sidney.

"What do you want?" I ask.

"My money back" he says before throwing his fist and knocking me out.
