Trust us....(a reverse pines fanfic)

Chapter 2- I will protect you...

          Pacifica and her cousin, Gideon, were walking through the sidewalks of their home. Their home was again, named Gravity falls, Oregon. The heat, of the summer, beat down on the two, causing Gideon to work up a sweat.

   "I never knew it was going to be that hot today" Gideon mumbled silently. Pacifica was able to let out a small laugh before she said, "Yeah.."
The two walked through the neighborhood, passing every crazy junkyard man, to woman with only one closed eye. Pacifica knew she should have trusted her instincts when they told her to not to go, but she couldn't help but seek a little adventure with her cousin. Although, she wasn't sure if Gideon felt the same way, since he looks miserable out here in the blazing heat. Just one mkre step seems like it would be his last before he melted to the ground.
But Pacifica still couldn't shake off that feeling. The paranoid feeling she got when she knew something was up, and it was nothing good. Was the gleeful twins out here? Was Gideon's parents out here? Is there something up with her beloved parents?! Who knows. Pacifica could barely take another step since they were walking for so long, let alone keep her mind on the subject.

       "Pacifica.....Pacifica?"

   Pacifica snapped out of her ocean of thoughts, and turned to face the shorter boy next to her.
"You okay Pac?" Asked Gideon, a hint of worry in his voice. Reality quickly hit Pacifica as she carefully reached up to touch her ponytail, calming herself a bit.
"Yeah, yeah I'm okay" She said, smiling about the fact that she still had her cousin by her side.
Gideon's face turned into a warm, loving smile, to a completely disgusted look.
Pacifica turned around to see what he was looking at, only to see the gleeful twins.
Pacifica cringed as she noticed the two, arguing behind the large statue that stood in the middle of the town.
Pacifica let out a laugh.
"If their such great siblings in their fake magic shows, how come they fight every time they have the chance to?" She said, giggling between most of the words. Pacifica heard Gideon let out a small chuckle. She smiled on the inside when she heard his chuckle. She couldn't help to feel happy when she knows her cousin is.

"Why do you have to be so uptight?"

"Atleast I am not the disappointment of the family, Dipper." Mabel said, obviously trying to get to Dipper's feelings.

"So annoying" Gideon said, turning around. Pacifica knew these two were fakes, and evil people, but she couldn't help but to hate them. Even if she did want to forgive, and befriend them, she knew that was a rare chance that the heavens would never make her do.
Its like a little cycle. Dipper hates Gideon, Gideon hates Dipper.
Pacifica hates Mabel, Mabel wants to kill Pacifica, all well that ends well right?

   Gideon muttered words of hate under his breath while walking farther away from Pacifica. He definitely didn't want to see Dipper, and definitely not his pysco sister either.
Pacifica noticed Gideon getting farther, and farther, and farther away from her. She didn't want to be left alone with the gleeful twins. She then fled towards Gideon, both not wanting for the twins to notice their appearance, and for Gideon to be in her sight.
Pacifica caught up with Gideon, out of breath after running a couple blocks after him.
"Phew...that..was close" She said, breathing heavily through each word as she tried her best to catch her lost breath.
"Tell me about it." Gideon said. After all that time walking, Pacifica was surprised that they never looked back.
She did wonder if the twins were still there. She, ever so carefully, looked behind her shoulder, noticing they were gone.
She didn't know whether to be scared, or relieved. Yes, she did wanted those twins to disappear off the edge of the earth, but yet, they could still be somewhere, being the creeps they are, just lurking around the town.
All of the sudden, Pacifica's thoughts were immediately disrupted by a loud screeching noise. She snapped out of her daze, and noticed Gideon was gone.
Thought ran wildly in and out of Pacifica's young mind. Where did he go? What happened? Who took him?!
Pacifica began to panick, feeling dizzy, sick, all these emotions were hitting her like a windstorm. Who knows who could have kidnapped him? His parents? A creeper? Or, no, it couldn't be.
The only people who were around to see the two were the one and only...'Gleeful twins'.
"Don't worry Gideon, I am gonna find you." Pacifica said as she began to run. As she was running, she threw aside her tie-died jacket. Faster and faster she went. All kinda of horrid thoughts raced through her mind.
She had to go to the gleeful's house, she needed to get answers out of them, even if it meant to beat it out if them.
As she said, she will always protect him...
