(SMUT REQUEST!!!!!)

Ever since she could remember, she had loved candy. The way caramel wrapped around her tongue and stuck to her teeth. The sensation of artificial lollipop flavors mixed within her cheeks, so collective she had to swallow to clear her mouth. The spine tickling laughter of a classic Hershey kiss between her lips. Most adults scolded her for the habit. Every time she became stressed or worried in her day to day life, she would resort to filling herself with the stuff.

When she turned 18, she gave up the shit to keep herself healthy for her training. It wasn't until she met Amaimon that she recalled just what she was missing.

At first, they were assigned a job together. He was the representative of Mephisto Pheles, who apparently couldn't make it due to some sort of important business. Later, they both returned to his office to find him binge watching Friends, a box of tissues decorated with anime girls planted upon his lap. Not that that matters. Agnes was expected to tag along and keep the green haired guy close. Under control. Tight by the leash. That had been her one and only job. Keep him subdued.

Quite frankly, that's not how matters ended up.

He was wild, crazy, and spontaneous to the point that he wrecked the entire purpose of what they had sought out for. A crystallized piece of devil flame, in the evil hands of a gang of crooks, had been shattered. Their true task had been to retrieve it. In one piece.

It was such a simple one and yet he had managed to destroy her first and possibly only chance of promotion to the title of manager with one blow. One little flick in the face; she stood and watched her future break into a million, carefully and archaeologically constructed geometrical pieces.

"What the hell was that for? We creamed the entire system; we had this in the bag." He had sat, perched atop a street sign, rolling a butterscotch across his teeth and staring down at the scattered remains of the once priceless artifact.

"That shit? It's my dad's frozen flame; it's not all that rare or anything. He can just make some more. Besides, I was just having some fun."

"Fun. You were having fun," she repeated. It was like she couldn't wrap her head around it. Just to try to, she grabbed herself by the temples and pushed her thumbs into them, drawing tiny circles. Come on Agnes, it's easy. Just relax, wind down, loosen up, prop your feet on the table for a few minutes and stay a while. But she couldn't. It was impossible. After her mother's harsh training and her difficult struggle through the academics of her Exorcist Schooling? How could she? The poor, distressed, barely bill paying girl had stormed off, tears barely restrained from slipping out into the open.

The second time she had met him, he was drunk on cupcake flavored champagne. She remembered the label explicitly: the empty bottle clutched in his long, black nailed hands. Heavily drunk. And yet he was emotionless, as if he didn't actually give a fuck about his own situation. As if he wasn't enjoying a moment of his intoxication. He even appeared sober, standing against the wall in the mess hall of a party scene, rocking back on his heels and staring, heavy-lidded, at the flickering overhead lights illuminating just the sharp angle of his jawline. His shirt was untucked, his hair was tussled and his tie was tossed over his shoulder, undone. Even his finglerless gloves she found so obnoxiously useless seemed a little wrinkled.

Sex, maybe?

He seemed so laid back and chill at something so celebrational, it had to be the case. Maybe a quickie with a hot one had him feeling particularly confident. That or he had just gotten into a WWE wrestling match with a sumo and lost two thirds of his operating brain cells. But when he felt her watching him, he turned just his head to look right back at her, unfazed. With the awareness of a bird of prey. The glare caught his eyes then, and it reflected against them, flashing them a florescent green in the haze of bodies pressed together among the similarly flashing lights.
