The Banyan dining hall was decorated with wisteria and tulips as these flowers were Joy’s favorite. They were finally seated at the couple’s table as they grab a few bites before they enjoy the party. Their parents were seated together while other family and friends mingled around. The Red Velvet and BTOB were conversing and then Changsub and Irene left the table to officially start the after event. The guest settled down on their seat as the program starts.
Joy’s parents were called to say something to the couple. Mrs.Park let her husband speak on their behalf.
“To our family and friends, thank you for attending this event. Today, I did not lose a daughter but instead gain a son I have been coveting for long. SooYoung-ah, you will always be my princess but you will now be the queen of your family. Sungjae-ah, I trust that you will take good care of my daughter. I do not need to remind you not to hurt her because that should already be given when we love someone. Build your family with trust and love as the foundation and everything else will follow. Listen more and build bridge instead of walls. Your family will always be here to support you. My lovely daughter and son, congratulations!
Joy and Sungjae walked towards the couple and bowed to them. Joy wiped her mother’s tears and hugged her father. Sungjae watched them fondly and then took his turn in hugging her parents.
When it was the Yooks’ turn, Mr Yook stood up and assisted Sungjae’s mother.
“Our sincerest thank you for everyone who attended today. All we can ask as parents is that for everyone to look after our daughter and son as they start their lives together. Thank you and enjoy the party.”
The newly wed approached them and offered hugs to both parent. They were all ushered in to their seat as the BTOB boys were called in to perform.
“To our favorite maknae and lovely sister in law, congratulations”
Eunkwang stated before the group started to sing their song “Way back home”.
Red Velvet was next to perform and the girls rendered their rendition of Ailee’s Heaven. The guest enjoyed both performances and was even asking for an encore. The girls give in and perform their signature song “Dumb,Dumb”.
The couple was called in to give a few words before heading out to their honeymoon. The couple decided not to go abroad as they both used to plan. Sungjae is still worried about Joy’s health although he can already see that his wife is doing better these days. They decided to spend a few days in Jeju before they begin living together in Sungjae’s apartment.
“To everyone who has come to celebrate with us, Thank you. We appreciate the support and love you have given us. To our parents, we will live a happy life to payback all the love and support you have given. To my BTOB Hyungs and Red Velvet noonas, thank you for always being here for me and Sooyoung. We’ll see you all in the next few days.”
After their speech and as the party comes to a close, they were ushered back to their room to change. Once done they head back to the hall to say goodbye to all the guest and their parents. They will be staying overnight in Banyan Hotel as they have an early flight to Jeju the next day. It was almost close to midnight when all guest left and the two head back to their room.
