Chapter One

This year Gene turns 15 in about 20 days, his birthday is on the 21 of October he was born in 2003. He is going to have the biggest birthday party  in his grade. He is having his birthday party in his school hall at Carlston high. His party is going to have coloured light beams, smoke machines, loud emo music blasting through ten speakers around the hall and he plans to ask his crush out at the big party, his name is Grayson. Grayson has been Gene's crush since 2011 but little does Gene know Grayson also likes Gene, and has since 2010, when they both were 7 Years of age.

Gene started writing in his diary.
5/2/2018 Dear diary today me and mum were planing my birthday party, but I haven't told mum that I have a crush, let alone tell her that I am asking out my crush. I thi

"oh hey mum"

Gene said as he very quickly closed his diary

"hi hun what are you doing"

said Gene's mum as she looked at his diary
"oh um well I'm just finishing some homework, because Mrs Bittle said if we don't finish it we will have detention"

said Gene

"that's great, um I'm just going to the supermarket, do you wanna come with?"

"Hmm na I think I'll stay here and finish my homework"

"ok do you want anything hun?"

Said mum with a sigh of annoyance

"can I get some gum please?"

"Sure, I'll be back in half an hour ok"

"ok see you soon love you, bye"

said Gene with a sigh of relief.

As Gene reopened his diary his phone started ringing he grabbed his phone off his draws the caller ID read Grayson 'why would Grayson be calling me we are barely even friends' Gene thought as he answered the phone

"hey Grayson" said Gene nervously

"hi Gene I was wondering if you wanted to hang out at school for a bit?"

said Grayson with a nervous chuckle

"um sure, when do you wanna meet up"

"um at about 2:30, if that suits"

"sure I'll just have to text mum 'cause she is at the supermarket"

"ok then Gene I'll see you at 2:30"

"k see ya then bye"

said Gene as he hung up and started to scream

"OMG Grayson actually wants to hang out with me, I can't believe it yass I have to write this in my diary"

I know I didn't finish writing before but Grayson actually wants to hang out with me and I can't believe it omg anyway got to get ready.

"Time to get ready, oh wait I should probably should call Jay and tell him he will be very happy for me"

"why will Jay be happy for you?"

Said Genes mum as she walked into his room

"oh um ah because I just got a girlfriend oh you came home sooner than you said"

said Gene as he started to regret what he just said

"oh that's amazing hun, here's your gum oh, and when can I meet your girlfriend"

"um I don't know. Oh by the way is it ok if I meet up with a couple of friends at the school?"

Said Gene

"sure, when are you going"

Gene cheeked his phone the time read 2:34

" um like right now ok bye mum"

said Gene walking out the door
