Chapter two

Xavier p.o.v

Uggh why did my father have to drag me to see his friend, Id rather be out running, but nooo I have to be here.
“ oh shut up I know you want to see her too” surprised by the sudden deep voice of my wolf “well hello to you too, and shut up no I don’t” “what ever you say idiot” sighing at my wolf I blocked the connection.
He was right though.. I found out that Evangeline was my mate on the day of my 18th birthday. That was 2 years ago, I should’ve claimed her then and there but she is weak not to mention mute and a human. I hate humans they are disgusting creatures.

*flashback*
Xavier 2yrs old

“mummy!? Where war wu?” Xavier called out with a shakey voice.
“XAVIER! RUN! QUICKLY GO HIDE!” shouted mum, “I love you my son”, whimpering Xavier ran and hid in the closet of his parents room underneath the pile of clothes hiding his scent.
“goodbye stupid mutt” a mans voice rang out before the piercing sound of a gun fired. *Thump*
“mummy?” he whimpered.
Suddenly a thunder rumbling growl erupted shaking the land “NO! JANE!” Alpha John's roar of anger unleashed and within seconds he ripped apart the hunter leaving nothing but scattered pieces of blood and flesh across the room.
The pack warriors felt the pain and anger of the alphas emotions and with the new found strength destroyed the remaining hunters, shredding every last one of them down blinded by the anger and sadness of the loss.

Silence.

Silence fell dead that night only the music of a single sorrowful howl radiated throughout the land followed by the by the others.
The Luna was dead.

“m-mummy?” Xavier stepping out of his hiding.
“SON!” Alpha John jumped up from where his mate laid and ran toward his shaking pup smothering him in his arms. “d-daddy w-what hapwen ro mummy? Why is mummy not mwovin?” “son my puppy mummy is not here with us anymore okay, she is with the moon goddess now” John quietly whispered trying not to let his voice break.
"But I mwiss mummy” he whimpered crying in his fathers arm.
“I know my son, look at me Xavier” lifting his sons face and wiping his tears away “you must be strong for me okay my son, promise me” nodding his head and snuggling closer to his father “I love you my son” John whispered keeping his son close to him, safe in his arms.

The pack fell silence, surrounding the fallen Luna with the Alpha still with his son in his arms. Only mournful tears were shared that night followed by whimpers for the loss.

*Flashback ended*

“Hello earth to Xavier are you in there?” escaping out of my dazed memory i find my father waving his hand in front of my face.
“Get your hand out of my face” I snapped.
“Well sorry Mr grouchy, you weren’t responding to anyone” John replied.
Rolling my eyes “what do you want?”
“Don’t roll your eyes at your father young man” I heard Rose pipe up standing there with her hands on her hips in full grandmother mode.
“s-sorry” biting my lip.
“good now as I was saying, Xavier can you please go upstairs and fetch Eve for me thank you” she smiled.
Huffing I made my way upstairs “mate is near I want mate” I heard my wolf whined “she I not my mate and never will be” growling back at my wolf, he just snarled in return.
Following the beautiful smell of cinnamon and fresh coffee beans I carried on my way.
*vir virrr vir virr* sighing I grabbed my phone out of my pocket checking the text.

“she is not my mate” my wolf growled “shut up and yes she will be. Better than that weak human” blocking off my wolf.
