Greetings once again,

And here is yet another downright adorable misadventure of my son and I.

Today, thankfully, I was able to stay home because the facility was closed for a single day renovation AND because it was Sunday. So, it both spared my struggle to escape and your tears when I did.

So, today was like any normal day, except for the fact that you made a few new friends.

I had decided to invite a couple of friends of mine over to, you know, talk and catch up on normal stuff.

Rex Hogan, a security guard who I occasionally would see at the facility, but never really talked to since college.

And Rudge Atlas, a good friend of mine who I worked with every day, but the only subject we would talk about was science and things such as that.

So, just like me, they had children of their own, around your age. Rudge had a son named Jack and Rex had a son named Crow. I thought you would have enjoyed meeting some other kids your age.

The day started like any other, with you being immersed in your favorite little cartoons. You hugged the dragon tightly as I fed you.

You'd snuggle the little toy every time you yawned, then again, causing my heart to melt each time I'd look upon you.

I had just gotten you dressed for the day when I noticed a car pull up in our driveway and at the drivers seat was my friend Rudge. We locked eyes for a moment and grinned. I set you down in the play pin and you immediately watched your cartoons and cuddled the Stardust in your arms.

I met my friend outside as he got out of the car.

"Rudge! How you doing?" I asked, meeting his side and shaking his hand, "You got here pretty early today!"

"Well, better I got here as early as I could so that we could catch up on more." Rudge replied, laughing, "And Jack was looking forward to it too. His daycare doesn't have many kids his age, therefore, he doesn't have many friends..."

"Well, I'm sure Yusei'll be a great friend to Jack!" I returned, grinning reassuringly.

"I certainly hope so." Rudge opened the door and reached in, unbuckling a baby in the car seat, "Here, Jack!"

He had blonde hair that was half covered by a plastic crown slightly larger than his head and held a scepter in his little hand that said "King" on the tip.

He certainly resembled that of his father in looks.

"Jack, this is Mr. Fudo." Rudge said, grinning at me and back at him, "Jack? Why don't we show him who's The King??"

Jack grinned and raised his hands high above his head as if on cue, laughing cutely. I chuckled at his innocence and turned back to Rudge.

"Well, why don't we go inside so that my son can meet the king?" I chuckled.

Jack let out a squeal.

"I think that's a yes!" Rudge laughed as we went inside.

I can remember first walking back in there and hearing you talk to your dragon. You didn't say any actual words, but you made sounds and hand motions in the dragon's way, talking to it like you could trust it with any information whatsoever.

When I came back inside, you looked up at me and then at Jack. You two looked at each other silently for a while, Rudge putting you in the playpin along with you.

"So?" Rudge patted Jack's head lightly, "Why don't you two play together?"

Jack looked up and him then back at you and you looked at him like he was the strangest thing you had ever seen. It was almost amusing how confused you were to see another baby your age.

Jack eyed you and hit you on the head with his scepter, causing you to burst into tears, clutching the dragon once more for comfort.

"Jack!" Rudge shook his head, "No! That's not how we play with people!"

I reached in and picked you up, holding you close and you rested the small bump on my shoulder, your tears slowly stopping.

"I'm sorry, Damon." Rudge told me, "Jack never does that."

I looked back at him and nodded.

"It's alright."

I then looked at you and you looked up at me, still holding Stardust. You sniffed and I put you back next to Jack you and him looked at each other for a while, just sitting there.

Soon, there was another knock on the door and the two of us could tell who it was that had arrived.

We walked to the door, leaving the two of you alone and answered it for our friend Rex Hogan.

"Hey, Rex!" Rudge greeted.

Rex slightly smiled, trying to pull his hair from the hands of his son who held a large bird stuffed animal and also laughed at he pulled his father's hair.

"Crow, stop it." He said, "That's not nice and we wanna be nice to our new friends, right?"

Suddenly, the young child with the beginnings of a thick orange hair and the bird stopped and hugged his bird, looking at us.

"Ah, thank you." Rex sighed slightly and looked at us, "Hello, you two! Jack and Yusei getting along alright?"

I looked back at Rudge before answering his question.

"Would...Yusei getting hit on the head by Jack be an example of getting along?" I teased.

"Oh!" Rex laughed, "Looks like the ambition runs in the family!"

Rudge playfully rolled his eyes and looked back at Rex.

"Ha. Ha. Ha." He said, "Says the guy with a son named after a bird."

"Hey! Raven named him that!" Rex pressed, "It was my wife's idea! Not mine!"

Rudge raised his hands defensively and we walked in, you and Jack still not making anymore noises. As a matter of fact, when I returned with my friends, you two were as far as you could get from each other. Jack had found interest in your little cartoons and you were curled with your dragon, the tail covering you like a thin blanket.

Rex put Crow in the pin with you two and at first, he didn't know what to do. He crawled over to you and tilted his head, you two looking at each other with a bit of curiosity.

Jack still sat watching cartoons.

"Looks like Crow and Yusei'll fair out better than Jack and Yusei!" I laughed slightly.

Rudge shook his head slowly.

"I always had a feeling he was gonna be one of those hard to impress children..." He muttered, smirking.

But soon after, we caught up on every single thing their was to catch up on. We found out about changes and recent and past events.

And then, they left.

I'd have to say, you were very relieve when they finally left. You hadn't moved from your little place the entire time they were here. You and Crow sorta played together, making the Stardust and the black bird have an imaginary conversation that consisted of letter sounds and other various sounds.

And Jack played with his crown and scepter, every now and again joining you, but over all just playing by himself.

And when they did leave, it was already almost time for bed. So without anything else needed to do, I fed you, changed you, and rocked you gently until you went to sleep, curled up in my arms. I put you in your crib and this is where it leaves me now.

Tell me, did you, Crow, and Jack all stay connected to each other?

How close are you?

Then again, how old are they?

I can't help but wonder. Every time I think about when you might stumble across this note in the future, I try to imagine what kind of a man you are.

Well, I guess that's just natural. I love my son and I just want the best for him.

Your Loving Father Always,

Damon Fudo
